“Mimi? Please be alive!” I hear a voice faintly, I couldn’t see anything though. It was still all dark. “Mimi?” My eyes flutter open. I see I’m in the hospital and Josh is right next to me holding my hand.

I look around the room and see Katelyn, Cody and Alli, and some nurses. Wait! Why are Cody and Alli here? I thought they flew back to L.A.

“Cody? Alli? Why are you here? Especially you Cody!”

“Well, when the hospital called me we knew we had to come back!” Alli said glancing at Cody. “Well I did at least…” Cody just kind of ignored me. Well then.

I could see Katelyn glaring at Josh, god, she needs to get over that. Then a nurse walked in with a clipboard. She was actually really pretty, she could even be a model.

“Well, Merriam we couldn’t find anything wrong with you, have you been having troubles at home?” I couldn’t lie to a nurse, could I?

“Um, no. It’s been perfectly fine!” I can see Cody glaring at me in the corner of my eye. Then I see Josh with a sympathetic look on his face.

“She’s right! I’m her next door neighbor, her house is very safe!” Why would he lie for me? We aren’t even that good of friends! “Your welcome.” I hear in my ear.

I mouth “Thank you.” back, but with my horrible mouthing words skill he probably thinks I said “Happy walrus.”

“Ok then, if that’s the case, you are welcome to be let out whenever you’re ready!” the nurse said.

“Am I able to leave now?” I questioned. I just wanted to get out of the hospital. Have I mentioned I hate hospitals?

“Sure! I’ll just need to have a family member's signature.” Crap.

“Um, my dad lives in Australia and right now my mom…is on a business trip!” I lied.

“Well, ok, then I need someone older than you to sign this, maybe him?” She points to Cody. If he ruins this for me he might just never speak to me again.

He glances at me. “Sure.” He signs the paper then the nurse just stares at him.

“OMG. Your Cody Simpson!” Wow Cody, way to blow your cover. “Can I have a picture?”

“Um sure.” She takes out her phone and snaps a picture, Cody had a fake smile on I could tell.

10 minutes later

We were finally out of the hospital and I was in the Simpson’s limo. “Who was that guy next to you at the hospital?” Cody asked me. I knew this was going to come up, Cody being the overprotective best friend and all.

“Oh he’s just a friend I met yesterday…” If Cody knew all the details he would flip.
