Zira and Spirit get ready for this year's comic con. It was just them going since Zira's friend Airryn couldn't make and their friend Lila had said she didn't want to come. Zira was dressing as Deep Blue, the main villain in Tokyo Mew Mew an anime they both liked and Spirit was dressing as Mabel Pines, the girl main character in Gravity Falls. Spirit's mom dropped her off at Zira's house reminding her for the hundredth time to be careful. Spirit nods, rolling her eyes a little. Her mom leaves after briefly speaking with Zira's mom. Zira puts the finishing touches on her costume, her bangs and ear tips. Once she is done, they head to the Durham Convention center. After they get tickets, Zira's mom leaves making Zira promise to keep in touch. Once they are inside, they start walking around, pointing out cool costumes. Zira reminds Spirit of their promise to Airrynn about getting in to see her idol Gerard Way. Spirit nods and they look around for a schedule. Once they find one, they see that he is having an autograph signing at one. They agree to sneak in line and try to get a video of him saying "Hi Airryn."
They decide to keep walking around until then. After a little while Zira spots someone dressed up as the version of Peter Pan from one her favourite shows, Once Upon A Time. She grins pulling Spirit with her. When she reached them, she tapped them on the shoulder. They turn and she smiles at them before speaking, wondering why they looked so familiar. "Hello. Sorry, can I just say that I love your costume?"
"Why thank you. I like both of yours as well." He answered in a british accent. He smiled then turned away, beginning to walk off.
Zira grabbed his sleeve. Once he had spoken she realized why he looked so familiar. He turned back around looking a bit puzzled. Zira smiled again. "Sorry, but you're Robbie Kay"
He nodded, smiling a bit. "Yes I am. But don't go announcing that to everyone. You know, you're actually the first to notice. Or at least you're the first to call me on it. How do you know I'm not faking the accent?"
"Please, I can do a pretty good british accent. Sometimes I even do it without thinking about it. But yours, it isn't faked. If it was, the inflection on some words would be slightly off. Like mine is. Yours isn't. You have perfect inflection on all your words. "
"You're very observant." Robbie replied giving Zira a smile.
She smiled, her cheeks colouring slightly. "Well thank you. But I'm really not, am I Spirit?"
She laughed a little. "No, you're not. Not at all."
"I find that hard to believe seeing how quickly you picked up on the fact that my accent is genuine."
"Well, I'm observant when it comes to some things but others not so much. Anyway, how are you liking the con?" Zira asked, tipping her head to one side.
Robbie smiled again. "It's brilliant. I like being able to walk around like a regular person, to not have fans stopping me and asking me for autographs and pictures nonstop." He frowned slightly. "Why didn't you do that when you figured out who I was? Obviously you know the show or otherwise you wouldn't have recognized my costume."
Zira frowned for a moment thinking then answered. " Normally I would. I suppose, just seeing you like this...walking around in costume enjoying the Con just like everyone else... Made me realize that no matter how amazing celebrities are, they're still a regular person like anyone else. Just because they're famous and in some cases, loved on all seven continents they're just living their lives like the rest of us."
He smiled again at her reply. "You're the first fan I've met that's acknowledged that. So, thank you."
Zira smiled back, her cheeks colouring again. "You're welcome."
