Julia and Matt

"the date?"

After I swapped my books out at my locker I went outside to join my friends at carpool, they all had the " TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED NOW " face and all I could do was smile. So when I got to my circle of friends outside they started asking me a ton of questions and as I was trying to answer them I felt my phone buzz. I stopped answering their weird questions and saw I had a text from Matt that said...

Matt: Hey Julia it's Matt ;)
smiling at the text I added him to my contacts as MATT, then replied to his message
Julia: Hey Matt ☺️

after I replied I put my phone in my pocket to talk to my friends for a few more minutes before I felt my phone buzz once again.

Matt: I was wondering if you were free to hang out this weekend?
Julia: Yeah I'm free
Matt: I was thinking we could go to the arcade at the mall and then before the mall we could go to Moes to eat.
Julia: That's sounds so fun!

*THE NEXT DAY*
Julia walks into school looking for her friends to tell them the news. And while she is looking for them Matt pulls her over to the side and smiles at her. Matt then beguine to speak and said "Julia I'm sorry for basically asking you on a date by text so I'd like to ask you again."

Julia's smile grew bigger and then he said "so Julia do you wanna go to the arcade theirs weekend?" Julia went in for a hug and said "yes" Then Matt looked at the time and said "well it's almost time for gym would you like to walk together?"

*back on Julia's pov* ( point of view )
yes I'd love for you to walk me to gym. As Matt walked me to gym we just talked about a random subject and it happened to be basketball. Matt played basketball and I have been to a lot of games so I knew exactly what he was talking about.

While we were talking he started talking about the ECU VS. NC game. Of course NC won I knew I watched the game.

Middle of gym class I was with sarah and I had totally forgot I wanted to tell her and the others about Matt asking me out. So I had decided to tell them all at lunch at the same time. While I was thinking about this coach put us into groups for basketball.

First up was green and yellow jerseys, and thank the lord I was blue. While the other two teams were on I was watching Matt run with the ball however Cody on the other team got the ball went for a basket and instead came flying towards me at the bleachers. I ducked lucky and it missed my head however it hit chloe in the head YIKES!!

I figured chloe was okay considering she plays really tough in basketball so I figured oh she can take a hit to the head. Well apparently I was wrong but I mean it's kind of what she gets for getting so aggressive during the girls games.Chloe was ok after she got some water and an ice pack and I kind of felt bad afterwards for not really caring she got hurt.

LUNCHHH

finally it was lunch time and my stomach was growling. Just as the lunch bell rang I was walking to the commons and Matt comes up next to me and starts talking about lunch " hey Julia is it ok if I go eat with the guys today? "

"Yeah Matt it's all good you can go hang out with your friends." I replied and he hugged me then ran off to his group of guy friends.

Once I sat down with my people I had to get their attention to tell them. "GUYS GUYS" "GuESs WHat" I said to my table. after they were looking at me I said " So Matt asked me out on a DATE!!!" When sarah found out she goes "WHaaaaT?!!" and then Megan says " Oh yeah Julia getting it with Matt" Ashley says a "awh y'all would be cute together" and then the others just started asking me all these questions.
