"And last but not least, this is the new girl, Penny Omlins. Danielle, I am asking you to look after her and make her feel welcome," crooned Mrs Freddon patronizingly.
She sat down next to Danielle Murel, who was in fornt of me and looked at her timetable. I could see that she had the same timetable as me. Also, we had R.E. first.
"Sparrow," whispered a voice. It was Simon Turvey. The annoying boy who sat next to me in registration.
"What."
"What lesson do we have? I've lost my timetable."
"Drama," I lied.
Simon nodded back.
"Thanks," he muttered.
I looked behind me to find Paul, my best mate.
Mouthing the words 'We have R.E.' to him, I pointed to old Mrs Freddon and stuck my tongue out at her.
He laughed loudly. Everyone turned to the back of the classroom and looked at him. Everyone apart from Mrs Freddon. She was practically blind and deaf! Everyone talked in her Maths lessons and messed around.
The bell rang and my class spilled out into the first period rush hour in the third floor corridor.
