Sûntaera: An Alpha, a warrior, a dragon

Chapter 2: Azuria

"Where is Sûntaera", asked Azuria worriedly? "He should be arriving any moment now", replied Zûnaera. Azuria was worried about Sûntaera, the sun had already set and their territory becomes quite hostile at night. She nodded to Zûnaera, who smiled back at her, then took off and flew towards the eastern mountains. She couldn't wait to see him for they both loved each other fiercely. They loved each other since they both layed eyes on each other. Every male dragon in the colony wanted her, she was beautiful, everywhere she went, males couldn't help but stare at her.

Azuria continued to scan the western sky for her love. Just then she saw a small speck appear, it was Sûntaera, it had to be. The tip of her tail begane to twitch in eagerness and excitement. Azuria felt the same fire inside her every time she thought of Sûntaera. The speck got bigger and bigger until it grew into a large, fierce, muscular male dragon which was Sûntaera. He landed in front of Azuria. The other dragons that were there extended their wings then bowed down in respect to Sûntaera for he was the Alpha male. "Evening my beauty", greeted Sûntaera in a deep, attractive voice. Azuria smiled happily, extended her wings then wrapped them around Sûntaera. He hugged her back while smiling compassionately. Azuria blushed as she felt his smooth scales against her cheek, she nuzzled his chest, feeling his rock hard muscles. They separated from each other. While Sûntaera addressed a scout that had just returned, she allowed her eyes to roam over his muscular and attractive form. Female dragons all wanted to be his mate but there was a problem. A Shadow dragon can only mate with another of their kind. Azuria was the lucky one after all, all females were jealous of her but she felt proud and honored that she was his.

Sûntaera kept a blank expression while the scout said his report of what he witnessed today. The only thing that caused sudden silence was when he reported the Middle hunting grounds free of ownership. Sûntaera knew that this was a problem, now every colony is going to want to claim ownership of it. Sûntaeras colony was the Shadow colony, named after their species name. Their rivals was the Iron Spike colony, which inhabited the Northern polar regions. The two colonies were equally matched in skill of combat and tactics of war, but the Iron Spikes had the numbers. There are other colonies, such as the Skyrunner colony, they inhabited the Northern mountain range, the Waverider colony, which lived on the western coast
