High school was starting tomorrow, and well like everyone I wasn't ready. I was gonna be a freshman but I'd at least have my best friends, Ashton, Sierra and Heather. We'd been best friends since before we were born to be honest. It was the last day of summer, and we planned to go to the beach.

I stretched and headed to the bathroom, I combed my dirty blonde hair, staring at my green eyes. I sighed, this whole thing was a mess of starting high school, I shoved my glasses on my face and went upstairs to get breakfast. There I saw my dorky family as which I come from and sighed.

My twin brother and sister who were going into 6th grade pushing each other around, my mom and dad chuckling at some corny joke on the tv.

"Tomorrow is the big day son!" my dad said, I nodded too tired to really respond, my mom sat a stack of flapjacks in front of me.

"Your father and I wanted to know if you wanted to go to town with us today?" my mother asked, I shook my head.

"The gang and I are going to hang out," I told them

"You see them everyday, come on me, you, your mother, Adrian and Riley, come on you'll see them everyday in school," my dad said.

"Dad, Mom, I see you everyday and usually babysit Riley and Adrian everyday, come on please," I pleaded, they sighed and finally agreed.

I fastly ate breakfast then cleaned my plate, soon loading the dish washer.

"Sierra is gonna be here in a bit," I told my parents.

"Okay," my mom winked, I rolled my eyes.

I pulled on a blue shirt and a pair of shorts. Sierra would be here soon and then Heather and Ashton would be here. We had Ashton's older brother come take us, he would most likely drop us off in town and later we'd just walk to the beach.

I heard the door bell and ran upstairs, but not in time. Adrian answered, he had a crush on her, a little too much.

"Hey babe, how's it going, looking
for my nerd brother?" he asked, I rolled my eyes.

"Bye Adrian," I said, he sighed

"Bye nerd," he ran back upstairs.

"Sorry about him," I told her, she laughed.

"It's okay, so do you wanna go down to 'the crib'?" she laughed, I nodded.

The Crib was in our "library", in it we had two couches, a mini fridge, tv and a speaker. We all usually hung out in there, Heather and Ashton usually brought stuff my mother and father disapproved. My mother didn't like Heather and Ashton as much as she liked Sierra.

Sierra was the definition of what my mother wants me to spend the rest of my life with. Tall, Blonde, Blue eyed, good in school, social and of course didn't do anything wrong.

"What's up mother fuckers!" Ashton came in yelling

"Dude calm down with the cursing, my parents can most likely hear you," I told him, he laughed.

"Come on dude, let lose it's the last day of summer then it's high school," Heather told me, I rolled my eyes.

"Come on let's go," Ashton said

"You promised we could practice today," Sierra said

"Oh yeah, well let's practice," Ashton said.

I probably forgot to mention, the band instruments are in here too. Are band is called Ruff, we had started this band in sixth grade not knowing how to play, but we've been playing strong since then. I played drums, Sierra played guitar, Ashton sang and Heather played bass. We were well known for our band in school, and somewhat in town. We played once at a middle school dance and once in the park for a "musical festival" which was pretty lame. But this year was gonna be different, we're in high school, people will trust us more for gigs and such.
