"Wolfbloods... That's what we are." I stated ever so simply, turning around in my computer chair to look at the blank faces of confusion and shock from my fellow 'wolves.' Kevin cleared his throat, trying not to laugh as Kaitlyn and Keenan only blinked out of pure shock. "We're... What? -- Woflbloods." I cut in, nodding my head towards them in agreement, taking a quick look at my laptop. "Weird, ain't it? A spell turned us into that creature. Cool, but weird." Of course it was all sinking in, first being regular teens... Now to wolves, with high anger issues. Great. My ears immediately heard footsteps, closing my laptop as my mom entered the room and raised an eyebrow at us all. "... What y'all doing in here?" I growled under my breath ever so quietly, rolling my eyes to myself as she set down a plate of food for us and walked out. "Keep this door cracked.." Was all she said, before walking into her room and closing the door.

"Ooh. So 'wolfy' you are." Kaitlyn teased, earning a pillow to the face by me as I barked out a laugh. "Shut up. Let's go... I'm feeling stuffy in here." I mumbled, making sure to clear my search history as we walked out of my room and hoarded down the stairs. "We'll be back later!" I screamed, grinning as I got nothing as a reply. Perfect sign. With that, we rushed out the door and howled loudly with excitement, breaking into laughter at being free once more. Freedom, I always thought it was all a lie and I was surely wrong about that. I wasn't just experiencing it.. I was living in it, breathing it in every time I stepped outside and went for a walk, hearing every sound and beat of animals all around me.

We took in the crisp, cool, and autumn night... Cheering and howling with utter excitement at being free and out wild. Skipping through the trees quickly, I spun around and howled up at the moon loudly, feeling its power flow through my veins like a drug I couldn't get enough of.  It's funny, really... Before this entire change, I never realized just how beautiful the moon was on nights like this. So bright... So peaceful, like a part of me. Every time I close my eyes, I can feel the moon... Calling me, luring me to come out and dance in her light. Now I understand.. Maybe it is she who cries out to us and not us to her.

From now on... The moon is our guide, and we are her children of the night.. Wolves.

We all stared up at the bright light, not saying a single word... Only letting our thoughts do the talking. Then the thoughts turned red... Being drenched with blood that was yet to spill from our own doing and choice. I could feel it, this paradise we have would soon die out to be a misery... It would simply be a matter of time until then. Let the clock begin. A dark paradise, that's what I'd call it..  A paradise simply waiting to go sour. We all thought of it.. Just never chose to speak up and say it. With blood already on my hands, I feared for the rest of them... Putting their human and wolf life at stake. Then the idea came to me in a flash, shooting my eyes open as they glowed brightly to show the wolf within them. I didn't bother to sit up and simply said three words I will never forget in my new life...

".. Let's run away."
