Chapter 13

(Athena's POV)

As I was shopping, I got a call from Damon. "Hello?"

That's when I heard Damon freak out. "Courtney, she got it hit by a car. Saving an old lady and she is now on her way to the hospital."

I gasped, "Where are you?" I ask.

Walking to my car. "I am driving to the hospital now, and I called you first to let you know. I'm supposed to call the rest of the others. So, I'll see you when you get here."

He then hung up, and I started my Camaro. Driving way over the speed limit to get to the hospital. Reaching the hospital and parking in the lot. I run to the front door and get to the front desk. "I am here for Courtney Decker. She just came in." I asked the nurse.

She looked at her computer, "She is in the emergency bay." She said. I gasped, having tears run down my face.

When I heard my name called, "Athena!"

It was Damon and I saw he was sitting in the waiting area. He stood up, and I ran to him. As he embraced me in a hug, crying into his shoulder. "It's going to be okay." He whispered in my ear.

"How is Blake?" I ask, but before we can answer.

He walks out behind a set of double doors. He looked so tired and worn out. He looked over at us, "She... h-has almost d-d-died t-three times." He said, between the sobs. Burying his head into his hands. Damon sat down next to him, giving him a side hug. That's when the other arrived, and they came over sitting with us.

Melody and Jessica wrapped me in a hug. I began to cry again and Damon walked over to us. "Why don't all of you guys go over to Athena's house. Hang out there and I'll let y'all know if anything happens." Damon said.

I nodded my head, grabbing my bag from the chair. Jessica and Melody were already walking out the door to their cars. I was about to follow when arms wrapped around my waist. Turning around, and being embraced in a hug by Damon. I buried my head in his shoulder and pulled back. He leaned down placing a small kiss on my lips.

"I'm going to ask my parents if you are allowed to stay over. I don't want to be alone right now." I said as a tear fell down my cheek.

His thumb brushed it away. "Okay, and I think my parents will be fine with. Blake is going to stay at the hospital until Courtney is better. I'll be at your house around 7. Okay?" I nod my head, pecking his lips again.

"I'll see you at 7," I said, walking out of the hospital.

I found Jessica and Melody. Derek had finally made it, and they were talking to him. I walked up to them. "Hey, are you telling Derek? And if he wants, he can come to hang out with us at my house." I said.

"Okay, will all just go over to your house. We will meet you there." Jessica said.

I walked over to my car and getting in. I drove home, and the others follow me. I call my mom on the way and tell what had happened. And she understands and is going to let Damon stay the night. Making it home, and I pull into the garage.

Parking and heading inside. Hearing that the others were getting out of their cars. Going in through the front door and brushing my feet against the rug. Taking my shoes off and a heavy jacket. I put my friend's stuff in the closet. We all head into the kitchen. I see my mom in the kitchen. Sitting on the island was a plate of cookies, with ice cream cartons of different flavors. Also, the bottle of sodas in the fridge for us.

My mom looked at all of us with a smile. Coming up and hugging each one of us. I grab a bowl, piling it full of ice cream. And then I grab a root beer out of the fridge. Heading to the living room to watch some t.v.
