It was night. I sat on the park's bench and plugged my ears with my earphones. I wore a pink t-shirt today and some skater skirt, also with converse shoes to top off my teenage look. I'm 23 already but I look like sixteen today. I was in the park. Today, the park is holding an activity. Something about a party for gender equality, I think.

I've always liked to come to parks. They just seem so peaceful and crowdy at the same time. It's like one of those places where people respect the peacefulness and have fun anyways. Luna and I grew fond of parks, fairs, carousels, and ferris wheels since we were little. Our whole family went here for quality time. We would sit at benches and look at how this place made other people happy just as it did to us.

I walk my way to the food stalls and grab something to eat. At least I have a full stomach before facing terror. Because, I ordered more than enough. A whole chicken, 3 bubble teas, a large paper bowl of fries and ice cream. Thanks to the police station for adding budget to the undercover. Finding an empty table almost quickly, I sat there in silence. I savored my food.

Actually, I savor everything. I liked to absorb happiness and beauty. I liked to stop and think at times about how there was more to everything that meets the eye. I am an optimistic and a positive person.

I felt myself tense when I sensed someone looking at me. I took a deep breath and continued eating. One thing you should not give anyone: the depth of satisfaction when they know you're weak and scared. Also, don't let anyone get between you and your food. Let yourself be one step ahead and don't go looking for that person or let curiosity get the best of you.

I scrolled through my phone to play some decent song when someone threw their jacket at me, as if letting me wear it. Then a male sat beside me, hid his cap under the table almost instantly, wrapped one arm around my right shoulder and poked the left side of my waist under the table with what feels like a knife. Is this him? Geez, that was fast. I didn't even finish my food. Food related thoughts later, you idiot. I sat there wide-eyed then tried to turn my head to see him. But the latter had his head resting on my left shoulder making it hard for me to even have a glimpse.

"No one would suspect..." he trailed off. Huh?

"No one would suspect me. First of all, you look like you really are waiting for someone. You look like a sulking kid. Second, this feast you supposedly bought looks like it's meant to be shared. Third, we look like a couple right now. So yeah, if I kill you, no one would suspect a thing" he chuckled. He... he was right. How could he be so smart?

But he wasn't going to have me without a fight. I wasn't scared. I wasn't even trembling. With my left hand, the hand that was between us, I pushed his hand to the table, making him drop the thing that was poking me. His head shot up in an instant giving me access to his neck. I quickly grabbed his neck with my hand. Making sure to squeeze his throat and choke him out of air. My other hand patted the table, searching for the thing poking my waist a while ago. The thing I thought was a knife turned out to be a pencil. What?

I turned my head to see him choke on his own words "S-STOP, P-PLEAS-SE"

Without knowing what came into me I let him go. By this time, all people around the area were already looking at us with shocked and worried expressions. Another male came to us with an amused face. But this time, he was older than us, I could tell. My face fell when he clicked his tongue and shook his head at me and the now gasping-for-air male beside me. My face fell even more when he said: "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say shall and will be held against you by rule of law". My face fell the most when I realized he was the chief police.
