Chapter 1
I remember the day the news broke out. I was sitting at a decent table in a decent restaurant. It was a not so decent day, it had been raining for several hours now. I ordered what I usually got, the Cuban sandwich. The owner of this restaurant always sat by the bar listening to his radio. Suddenly his usual program was interrupted by an announcement from some news person. "Today it was announced that Germany has invaded Poland. There are also reports that the Russians have helped the Germans in this invasion."
