(Elise's POV)
"Gone out sightseeing?" a horrid voice asked me once the lights were turned on.
I am scared shitless. I just-
I seriously can't describe how scared I am at this very moment. My breathing is uneasy and I swear I am about to faint. This has got to be the worst surprise ever!
The witch grabbed my arm and pulled me to her office. I was still in pure shock. I can't believe I'm caught! Shit! I messed up BAD.
Once we were in her office, she pushed me to a chair and began to speak.
"I was walking around, making sure everything was how its supposed to be when I see the window open. Then I turn around and OH! ONE OF THE ORPHANS IS MISSING! AND I KNOW THATS NOT THE FIRST TIME YOU DO THAT!!! I'VE HAD MY EYES ON YOU MISSY! NOW YOU'VE REALLY DONE IT!"
" I'll never do it again! Please! I promise." I pleaded her as the tears streamed down my face.
"Mrs. Bockvelt?" a woman asked as she opened the door and stepped in.
I recognized her the minute I laid my eyes on her. Diane Banks. She's the one that brought me here in the first place.
"Was that all?" Diane asked the wicked witch of London.
"Yes. That's all she had brought in here. I made sure of it." The witch said giving me an evil smirk.
"What's going on?" I asked whispering, with my voice shaky, confused of the current situation. I wiped away my tears.
"Come with me sweety, i'll tell you on the car..." Diane told me.
Great. The last time she told me that my sister and I got here. Oh God, I'm screwed.
I didn't have any other choice but to follow her.
We stepped outside on the cold London night and as I got in the car I spotted something...or should I say someone.
"Hey Elise! You forgot this!." Jesse yelled, running towards me with my bracelet.
"Thanks." I said taking back the bracelet, nervous as hell. This night cannot get any worse. Well, I sure hope not anyways...
"Get in Elise." Diane said shoving me slightly.
"Is everything okay? Who are they?" Jesse asked worriedly.
"Yeah, I- i'll be gone for a bit but uh...i'll be back soon." I said trying to hold back the tears and negative thoughts. I suck at sneaking out and holding back my tears. Dang it! This might be the last time I see him.
"Are you sure your okay?" he asked concerned.
"Yeah." I nodded slightly.
"Then why are you crying?" he crossed his arms.
"Im fine, i'll explain when I get back..." I told him and gave him a hug.
"Take care..." he replied hugging me back.
"Elise, we have to go now. Get in please." Diane insisted. I let go of Jesse and got in the car. Diane closed my door and got in on the passenger's side.
I looked back and saw Jesse standing in the middle of the road, he took a glimpse of me and waved good-bye. I effortlessly waved back and turned around.
"Miss Banks? Can you tell me what's going on now?" I asked trying to hold back the tears, scared of what her response would be.
"Mrs. Bockvelt caught you several times sneaking out and having unusual behavior so she called me and ordered a transfer to another orphanage with a better security system." she explained.
