Annie, Annie! Please wake up! Please, please, just wake up. You can' the dead, not now. I clutched her shoulders and shook her, shook her until I could no longer feel anything. Until I could no longer feel the life inside of her, the warmth, the beauty that made her so unique and different, better than the rest of those boring people in this mundane world. As soon as the last trace of life left her I just sat there. I knew, oh yes, I knew, that part of me had died with her. And for that I would never forgive myself. Never forgive anyone. That day was the day, the day I made a promise to her, to finally bring her back, to get my revenge on those who had failed her.

The bell chimed, emitting a sound much like an angry chipmunk on steroids. It had been two months since my mothers deletion, and life had been normal. Or as normal as it could be, anyway. I had been moved away from the annoying guy in math almost a week after he asked to borrow my pencil. I was just pulling up my score sheet for all of my classes on the web when suddenly someone slammed into me, causing me to shut down my computer.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" I yelled at the retreating figure of a guy in black jeans and a black shirt with longer black hair. Wait, I recognized that person. It was math guy! It had been quite a while since I saw him last. It was quite odd as our math class was rather small, but he'd disappeared since our math seats were rearranged.
He seemed to be walking quite fast in the other direction, and I soon lost sight of him. It wasn't really odd that he hadn't heard me earlier, I'm pretty much seen as nonexistent in our school. My sister was the social one, with her humongous group of friends, and sweet boyfriend from Alaska. I just had my best friends Maive and Ivy, and they were off on some odd business in Europe with their parents. Knowing them, the two flirts they were, they'd have all sorts of exciting stories when they came back.
Anyways, I had to go to history class. History was my least favorite class. I could never understand the teacher. She never taught, just made us read the chapter, take notes, make a study guide, and then take a test, every week was the same. In fact, she hardly ever said a word. It was slightly odd, but you got used to it.
I ran to the history door just in time as my class was starting. I sat in one of the middle seats like I always do. But this time, something was odd Ms. Amberly and I were the only ones in the room. Oh! I'd forgotten that we were supposed to have an assembly this afternoon instead. Before I could move out of my seat and to the door to go to the assembly, the door was thrown open with a bang, and a figure entered. He grabbed the teacher, Ms. Amberly, and threw her out of the classroom. Then, I heard footsteps behind me, and just as my head spun around to look at my attacker, all I saw was piercing grey eyes, and then everything went black.

"It is almost complete," said Justine, my right hand man.
"alright," I whispered. I'd been awaiting this moment for years and years. "It's time to take this puppy for a test drive."
Justine injected the serum into my right arm. I felt cold, then hot. A thousand needles being pushed into my body, all at once. I gave a blood-curdling scream, then collapsed. Darkness enveloped me.
