This poem is about two lovers who are separated when the man goes off to war.

I'm torn in two, my heads one place but my heart's with you. I miss you more then words can say, wishing I could go back to that last day.

He held me close and kissed my lips, caressing my skin with his fingertips. I admired the way his blue eyes shown, as he looked at me with more love then anyone ever known.

But the time had come for us to part, taking with him all of my heart. I hugged him close as he did me, holding each other tenderly.

He said don't say good bye say see ya later, this isn't the end; don't worry baby girl one day soon you'll be in my arms again.

He walked away, and it was the end or so it would seem, for in my heart of hearts all I had left was nothing but a dream.

I cried and cried still missing him holding on to the promise he made, that some way some how he'd come back to me one day.

Our stories not over this I know is true, so baby where ever you are just know I still love you!
