Lacey's pov

I pulled into my Uncle Charlie's drive way early in the morning, he's not really my Uncle but he is my real Uncles best friend. I hopped out of my 1967 blue camaro with white detailing. I grabbed my bag out of my backseat and walked up to the front door with my three year old blue pitbull, Jazz, behind me. Just as I was about to knock the door flew open and my best friend, Bella, opened the door.

She looked up meeting my chocolate brown eyes and jumped. I grinned as she squealed and threw her arms around me. "Ahhhh Lacey you're here!" She pulled me inside quickly. "Come on you're coming to Billy and Jake's with me." She runs, as fast as her clumsy feet can take her, up stairs with my bag following behind her. Soon enough she runs down the steps tripping over her feet and grabs my hand and a leash for my boy, Jazz. We hop in her old rusty truck. I ignore the noise when she starts it up and she pulls out onto the street

"So why didn't Dom or Mia come up with you?" Bella asks breaking the comfortable silence.

"You know Charlie and Billy don't like Dom and Mia is trying to finish school. I finished school last year and I've never almost killed a man." I replied softly. She nods her head. "So got your eye on anyone?" I ask curiously.

"I had a boyfriend, but he uh dumped me in the woods. I could see the house but I decided to go running after him. I ended up falling and Sam Uley, you know him right?" I nodded. "Yeah he found me around midnight. It's been like four or five months but I can... I can still feel the pain." She tells me rubbing the spot over her heart subconsciously.

I smile weakly at her and rub her shoulder lightly. "It sounds like you love him. He is stupid to leave you like that. It's his loss, plus I'm sure there are plenty of guys that like you around these parts. I know Jake does, every time I call he talks about you for twenty minutes at the least." I giggle, a faint smile on Bellas lips.

"Yeah I know he likes me, but I only see him as the little brother I never had. But when I'm with him the pain, it goes away." She replies before we sit in silence for the rest of the ride.

Bella runs out of the truck after turning it off. I hop out with Jazz following behind on his leash. She knocks hurriedly on the door. Uncle Billy opens it.

"Bella, Lacey." He smiles at me. I give a small wave.

"I need to see him." Bella breathes out to Billy, a determined expression on her face.

"He's not in." Billy lies. I roll my eyes. I knew Jake was a wolf, mostly because I am too. I haven't found my imprint either.

"I'm sorry, I really need to see him." Bella pushes past Billy and enters the house.

"Bella!" I call after her. I run to catch up with her. She storms into his room and finds him asleep. I smile softly at my younger cousin. He has been so tired lately because Sam is apparently putting him through a bunch of patrols.

Suddenly we hear Jazz barking like crazy outside. Looking up I see Sam Uley and a couple other people, one I recognize as Embry Call. She gets an angry look on her face and runs out there. I follow after her, just in case. "What did you do!?" She yells stomping up to the four boys. "What did you do?!" Once she gets close enough she pushes Sam back. I look up at the boy that was about to get in between Bella and Sam.

My whole world stops as I catch his eye. Bella's yelling fades out and he's all I can see. I would do anything, be anything for him, a bestfriend, a sister, or a lover. Whatever he wants. I snap out of it when my imprint starts questioning Bella. Sam pulls him back a bit. "Calm down." Sam demands my imprint as he starts to shake lightly.
