"Geez! Saph, Alex, I can't go on anymore! This is... e-exhausting!"
Sapphire and Alexander gradually slowed down from running to jogging. Letting Stephanie purposely catch up to them but the latter still couldn't catch up. They wore T-shirts with the logo of C.A, Crossford Academy, and a dark jogging pants to match it. They were currently jogging, it's Physical Education time and the teacher told them to run five laps on the school grounds before actually doing some strainous activities. And yet, here was Stephanie, already dead tired.
"Stop slacking off Steph! The teacher might catch you and add extra five laps. Do you want that?" Alexander slowed down more until he was beside Stephanie, obviously pursuing the emerald-eyed girl to continue. Something worse would make it's way if one student stops running. Add the fact that their current P.E teacher was the perfect sadist.
Stephanie pouted adorably. "I know, I know, I'll try to keep running." She visibly sighed before looking up at the two to smile sheepishly at them, maybe thankful because her friends purposely slowed down just to run with her.
"Don't smile yet, Steph. We're not even half way finished." Sapphire stated as she took off her earphones and hung them on each of her shoulder, her long, raven hair tied up in a high pony tail. She also slowed down more so they ran beside each other. Sapphire was at the left, Alexander was at the right, and Stephanie was at the middle.
"Not half way yet!?" Stephanie hysterically exclaimed between her ragged breathing.
"We've been running for about five minutes and you're already that exhausted? Are you a baby or what?" Alexander just looked at her with boredom hinted in his black eyes but in his tone of voice, he was clearly mocking Stephanie.
"I told you, I have a weak stamina! Not a baby!"
"Alright, if you say so," Alexander proudly smirked, continuing on running at his own pace again, leaving the poor Stephanie to struggle alone. Well, not exactly because Sapphire was still there. Stephanie's brow knitted as she looked at Alexander's lean back. Sapphire silently chuckled and patted to black-head girl on the back gently.
"I'm here, 'kay?" Sapphire said, smiling softly.
"Thankieee Spahiiiiiireee!" Stephanie said, hugging the raven-head tightly momentarily. Sapphire almost choked at how tight that was and was secretly relieved when it lasted just a moment since they we're in the middle of running.
Sapphire then gave her a gentle smile before running together with her until she spotted a certain blue-head bastard, his usual dark Hood was not present like those past few weeks, probably because they were running and he found it somehow troublesome to wear it. He was running rather steadily, not a hint of exhaustion from the other but sweat still present since his shirt was wet with sweat, he was human so of course there was sweat. His cobalt eyes were focused in front as his earphones we're plugged in his ears, obviously. His Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed. It was pretty surprising to see that he had so much stamina consider the fact that he was usually asleep, though he was doing rather well with his studies, but she wondered why he suddenly agreed to do P.E. Normally, he would be sleeping peacefully in the infirmary during P.E time. Sapphire learned that his name was "Neon". Her friends told her a few weeks ago and during those times, they haven't talked to each other like the first day. Sapphire should be happy, heck she should be partying, that that rude bastard wasn't talking to her but she couldn't seem to bring herself to think like that.
"Having fun staring, sweetie?" Came Stephanie's amused voice. Sapphire immediately looked at her grinning face, her exhaustion magically disappeared. And that was when she realized she was looking at the bastard for a long period of time.
