"Seen Bruce anywhere?" Tony walked into a room and asked whoever was there. It happened to be Steve Rogers and Clint Barton.
"Nope," Clint replied still looking at the piece of paper in his hands.
"I think he is in his room," Tony nodded and took a closer look at what Hawkeye was reading.
"Dear Hawkeye,
I like you bow and it is amazing how accurate you are. I drew a picture of your bow," Tony read from over Clint's shoulder. Clint switched the papers to see a very detailed picture of a bow. Steve looked at the picture to see what it looked like.
"That's good," Steve commented.
"Really good," Tony added.
"Amazingly good," Clint added.
"I'm going to find Bruce. Let's hope he isn't an enormous, green, rage monster," Tony walked out and through the corridors, passing an emotionless Fury and an upset Natasha.Tony came to Bruce's room and knocked.
"Bruce?" There was no reply. "I don't want to sing Frozen!" Still no answer. Tony walked back to Steve and Clint and found Natasha and Fury sitting with them reading fan mail.
"Bruce won't answer," Steve simply nodded while the others paid no attention. Steve pulled out a letter addressed: Anthony Edward Stark. Steve passed it to Tony who then opened the envelope to find two pieces of paper.
"Dear Anthony Edward Stark,
I find your work impressive and unparalleled. I am interested in the arc-reactor and how it works. Find enclosed a paper drawing in case holograms decide to not work one day.
Thomas," Tony looked at the second piece of paper. "Now that is an awesome drawing!" Tony showed all the Avengers, well everyone except Bruce who still hadn't left his room.Tony had a strange feeling about Bruce. He hadn't come out his room for a week and if he knew Bruce, his Science Bro, he would feel suicidal. The Hulk caused him so many problems he had learned to live with as a burden and know they were useful. That would be good for anyone else but this was Bruce Banner. Looking through more fan mail he found one with Mr Hulk written in green crayon on the envelope. He hid it away in his pocket to show Bruce later.
Tony waited outside Bruce's room for hours until the door opened. Bruce stood there looking tired.
"What do you want Tony?" Bruce asked, sounding annoyed. Tony held up the fan mail with Mr Hulk written on it and Bruce let Tiny in his room.
"It's a mess in here!" Tony said.
"Thanks," Bruce sat on the end of the bed and Tony sat next to him. Bruce carefully opened the envelope and pulled out a letter written in green crayon. It read:To Mr Hulk,
You are my favourite Avenger even if everyone else likes Captain America or Thor or Iron Man you will always be my favourite Mr Hulk. I even drew you a picture of you and me together.Tony saw a tear land on the paper before Bruce turned it over to reveal a child's drawing of the Hulk with purple pants with ripped legs and themselves wearing a purple dress. The picture of Hulk was smiling.
"Hey, are you alright?"
"Yes," Bruce handed Tony the letter and Tony smiled and ran off. Bruce pulled out another piece of paper from the envelope. To Bruce Banner,
I think you are awesome even if the other kids don't. If you didn't turn into the Hulk then you couldn't help save the world and the Avengers couldn't save the world without you. The Hulk make you who you are now.
Clara SmithBruce smiled at the letter and decided to tidy himself up a bit. He walked to the lounge in the Avengers tower and Tony came in at the exact same time.
"This is the real Tony Stark I am not a machine or anything. So I'm sure your daughter sent a letter to a Mr Hulk?" Tony was quiet for a while so Bruce decided to sit down. "So would you like to talk to Bruce?" Tony held the phone out for Bruce.
"Hello,"
"Hello Mr Bruce!" A female voice said. Tony just grinned at Bruce.
"I got your letter earlier,"
"You did? Did you like it?"
"Yes and I'm sure Mr Hulk will too when he gets to read it," about five minutes later, Tony was talking to Mrs Smith, telling her directions. The next day, Tony seemed rather excited for what seemed like no reason to Bruce. Bruce heard Fury shouting at Tony.
"I told you! The kid wanted to see him!"
"I don't care Stark!"
"Well do you want the Hulk to come out because he tried to commit suicide?"
"Well that's-" Fury was cut short by JARVIS's voice.
"Sir, a visitor is here to see Dr Banner," Bruce could imagine Tony smiling at Fury like a Cheshire Cat or more like the Cheshire Cat. The elevator dinged and a woman stepped out with a girl looking around eight years old. Tony walked in as if on cue.
"So Clara, ready to meet the Avengers?" Clara smiled and gave Tony a picture to sign. Even though he didn't like to be handed things, he signed it and gave it to the mother. Clara then saw Bruce and ran up to him.
"Hello Mr Bruce!"
"Hello Clara,"
"Can you sign this for me?" Clara asked. "Please?" Clara added afterwards. Bruce nodded and took the crayon picture of him, the Other Guy and Clara. He took the green pen from Clara and signed it. He Then handed it back to a very happy girl.Mrs Smith let Clara met the other Avengers, all except Thor, but Tony somehow managed to get an autograph from Thor.
"Thank you Mr Bruce and say thank you to Mr Hulk from me as well," Tony looked worried at the mention of "Mr Hulk" but Bruce just smiled. Tony and the other Avengers had never seen Bruce so happy, even if they had knew each other for about two months in total.*4 years later*
Clara sat in her bedroom when she heard a roar. She was still holding her pen and crayon drawing from when she was eight as well as some other pieces of paper. The Hulk ran down the street and stopped at Clara. Clara dropped the pen and the papers. Hulk saw the crayon drawing of him and stopped. The Hulk broke the pen, dipped a finger in the ink and printed it on a piece of paper. The Hulk sort of smiled.
"Thank you Mr Hulk!" Clara said so the Hulk could hear her.
"Clara," the Hulk said before running away. Both Bruce and Clara kept the pictures drew in Crayon but Clara had a Hulk fingerprint framed on her wall. Neither forgot each other.
