Video Transcript Log: Test 2, July 9, 2012

Subject: Robert Dowdy, incarcerated for the brutal murders and beheadings of a couple and their two children

Administrator: Doctor Levins

Subject was given a 1200 Lumen torch flashlight for use during the test as well as a head mounted video recording device which will stream a live feed during the test as well as allow for communication with the administrator watching the feed. Subject wears nothing but the normal orange jumpsuit. Subject has received no information about the area he will be exploring. Subject believes he will be cleared of all charges should he complete the test.

The subject enters the area at 7:23pm. Guards lock the entrance door behind him once he is inside.

7:23 pm:

Levins: Subject, please describe what you see now, for the record?

Subject: It’s just a long hallway, Doc.

Levins: Please be more precise. We need to ensure your description matches the video feed.

Subject sighs heavily.

Subject: Alright, it’s a long hallway with white tile floors, whitish walls, I guess, stupid florescent lights and a lot of doors.

Subject’s description matches the video feed.

Levins: Please describe the lighting of the hallway.

Subject: It’s kinda spotty. Like, the light just kinda seems to end around the edges.

Video feed shows a very well lit hallway, contrary to Subject’s report.

Levins: Just to make sure, you are saying there are dark patches in the hallway?

Subject: Yeah, like along the walls and such, but the floor’s lit pretty fine, though.

Levins: Please try using your torch on one of the dark patches.

Subject fumbles with the torch before turning it on, shining it at what appears to be a very well lit section of the wall.

Subject: It works, but it’s still kinda odd looking, like it isn’t as bright as it’s supposed to be.

Levins: Very well. Please try to open the door on your left.

Subject approaches and attempts to open the door. The door does not open, appearing locked.

Subject: It won’t budge, Doc.

Levins: Very well. Please continue down the hallway until told to stop. Also, do not turn around for the remainder of the test.

The video feed shows the subject nearly turning around, but he seems to catch himself before completing the motion.

Subject: Why can’t I look behind me?

Levins: I am not allowed to answer that question. Please proceed down the hallway.

Subject begins to walk down the hallway at a steady pace. Over the course of the next few minutes, the feed shows nothing but the subject passing multiple sets of doors on either side of the hallway. Subject is silent for the entire period.
