The Transfer Student

Chapter 1: Max Cherry

Third Person's POV
Today is Rhian's first day of her senior year in high school. She thinks that she has the responsibility to make everything epic and memorable for the entire class as she's been voted class president last term for the current academic year.

She is the good student, the smart one, the dependable one, the one everyone admires and looks up to, she's used to being always in the center of attention and she enjoys it.
'Okay, Good morning class, I am Mrs. Ledesma and I'll be your homeroom teacher for the whole school year.' Mrs. Ledesma gives her warmest smile to her new students. 'I want all of us to get to know each other, so please, introduce yourselves. Who wants to start?'

Rhian then raises her right hand as she knows that nobody in class is really keen for introductions. She stands up and introduces herself. 'Hi! I'm Rhian Ramos, I'm your class president. I hope that we can learn a lot of new things together this year and that we can make this year as one that's worth remembering.'

'Yeah bitches, this my baby right here!' Luis exclaims as he stands up and attempts to hold Rhian's waist but Rhian was fast enough to evade his public display of affection. Luis is Rhian's hot, cocky boyfriend who's also her classmate, they've been going out for a couple of months now. Rhian thinks that he's not so bad afterall, since her family is good friends with his. It was actually Rhian's dada that really wanted her to get into a relationship with him.

'Okay, Mr. Alandy, watch your mouth.' Mrs. Ledesma calls Luis out for using foul language. 'Since you're already standing up, go ahead and introduce yourself.'

'Hey guys, I'm Luis, I'm team captain of the varsity basketball team, I love basketball, ball is life, yeah! I also workout and keep myself fit. (he says as he flexes his arm) So, need I say more?' A bunch of his friends then make loud noises as they cheer him on, while Rhian nonchalantly observes such frivolous scene she's already used to.

Introductions went on.
'Hi, I'm Ben, and I also play for the basketball team. Luis is right, ball is life!' Said Ben as he highfives his bestfriend, Luis.

'Hi, I'm Katrina, and I like cuticle care and uh.. I forgot, uhhh.. nevermind. I like to keep myself pretty all the time.' said Katrina, Katrina is Rhian's friend, who's pretty but is not so blessed intellectually.

'Hi, I'm Sheena and I like computers and technology, in the future I'd like to create programs and applications that can help mankind. Oh, by the way, I have a pet rabbit named Bogart. Thank you.' said Sheena, Sheena is another one of Rhian's friends. She's shy and a bit weird but is pretty dependable.

'Hey, the name's Chynna, I maybe almost stick thin, but don't you dare mess with me or I'll beat you up.' Said Chynna while sending death glares to the boys who keep on making fun of her tomboy looks.

'Hi guys, my name's Solenn, I'm not big on studying, but, I like to paint and express myself through music and art.' Said Solenn, Rhian's bestfriend and also a part of her squad, the one she can open up to without hesitations.

'Oh, before I forget, we actually have a transfer student in class.' Mrs. Ledesma says.
'Glaiza De Castro' Mrs. Ledesma calls on the new transfer student sitting on the back.
The student is sitting with her legs crossed, face facing down and seem to have been busy writing something on her notebook. She stands up and introduces herself. 'I'm Glaiza De Castro, and I like music.' She nonchalantly introduces herself to the class.

As Glaiza scans the faces of her new classmates, she can't help but focus her gaze on a particular brunette girl looking intently at her. Glaiza then gives Rhian a conceited smirk, as if telling the latter that she's been caught red handed.
