Diary of a Dead Girl - Paige's POV
Chloe's Diary, Day 3.
"Dear Diary,
There were some fun things in life.
Once again to bring up Josh, I have vivid memories of us as little kids, running through the sprinklers in our bathing suits. Screaming and shrieking and tracking mud into the house.
Note the tear stains on the paper. Those are for you.
Paige, you were my best girl friend.
Those times when I felt suicidal, I would call you. You would come. I would feel better.
You bandaged my wounds, and covered for me when I was too dizzy to leave my room, after cutting.
Memories of us playing Parcheesi in your living room, or painting our nails on my bed, or doing ariels in the street, they flood my mind. The bed I'm actually writing this on reminds me of our first sleep over."
Josh and I glance at each other. He grabs my hand. Chloe was a sweet, sweet girl.
"But sometimes even you couldn't cheer me up. And that was when everything took at turn for the worse.
You know what, pass this on to Mackenzie, too. She's about to be hate-listed.
You were so mean to me, Kenz.
At parties, you would lock me in bathroom and tell people I was drunk. I never took a sip of anything. We were minors and I was a good girl.
But it was humiliating.
For crying out loud, you told people the Josh and I, well, I'm going to say this tastefully, did bad things. If you know what I mean.
I never did that.
I'm not going to talk about that anymore.
Mackenzie, you're the reason that I stopped dancing.
And that, that alone was killing me on the inside." \\
