Caught *Modern!Neji x Reader*

A/n: I was listening to this song and a funny, but sweet scene popped into my head. I hope everyone enjoys~

There a lot of the things, that you expected. Naruto and Hinata's engagement before Sasuke and Sakura's, Hiashi losing his shit about the engagement, you to get a promotion at (Your job), Jiraya to get arrested for sneaking into girls' hot springs, and the list goes on.

What you didn't expect, was coming home one day and seeing your roommate/crush, of one year, doing something that you never thought you would catch him doing.

Neji Hyūga, who was normally quiet and reserved, (which pissed you off sometimes, cause it was hard to make him laugh) was currently dancing in the middle of the living room. The fact that he had headphones in and didn't hear you coming in and his back was towards you, meant that the volume was up enough that he was unaware of his surroundings. You were about to say something, until he started singing at the top of his lungs:

You didn't know what to think of the situation. He wasn't bad, in fact his singing was amazing and energetic, despite his calming deep voice and all you could do was stand in front of the door, with your jaw practically on the floor from shock.

Finally, after a few more seconds of watching him dance around, you snapped out of your shock and quickly pulled out your phone. Opening it, you hit the camera and then the record button, while he just kept obliviously singing his heart out.

'Ok, that's a surprise.' You thought, a bright blush appearing on your face and your eyes widen a bit, at Neji hitting the high notes like they were a breeze; but also because he said your name, 'Does that mean Neji likes me?' This kept going on, until his dancing slowed down to a stop and his head was nodding to the sound of his whistling. You tried not to laugh, as he turned around, halfway and he sputtered, while his eyes just about popped out of his head at the sight of you, holding your phone up.

"(Y-Y/n), what are you doing here so early?" He stuttered, pulling the headphones out his ears and gave you a nervous smile.

"My boss let me come home early." You managed to say through your poorly hidden giggles.

"H-How long were you standing there?" Neji asked, choosing to look at the wall instead of you, while his cheeks flushed an unnatural shade of red, but you couldn't tell if it was out of embarrassment or something else; especially since he was glaring at the wall.

"Long enough. You know, I'm sure that our friends would love to know your...hidden talent." In an instant, Neji's attention moved from the wall to you, his pearl-colored eyes wide in fear.

"You wouldn't."

"Want to bet~?"

There was a long pause as the two of you started at each other; him glaring and you smirking, before he finally sighed and asked, "Fine....what is it that you want?"

"...Close your eyes." You said, earning a confused look from him, "Just trust me."

Hesitant at first, Neji reluctantly closed his eyes and you silently giggled, as your (e/c) eyes twinkled in mischief, as you strode up to him and stopped when you right in front of him and stood on your tiptoes.

"(Y/n), you better not be doing anything stu-mmf!" His words were cut off, when he felt something warm and soft pressed against his lips. Slowly, he opened his eyes back up, only for them to widen in shock. The kiss lasted for a few more seconds, before you pulled back with a bright smile and a blush spreading on your cheeks.

"By the way, Neji, I'll gladly be your 'It Girl'." With that said, you ran off to your room, giggling as Neji still stood in the living room in shock, before his entire face exploded into a bright red blush.

'Sh-Should I be happy or embarrassed that she heard me?' He asked himself, his blush calming down and he ran his hand through his long locks. And then a thought crossed him, 'Wait....did she delete that video?'

".....(Y/N)!!!!"
