Chapter 2

I mentally wake up, something unusually warm in my arms. I open my eyes to see light brown curls in front of me. It took me a few seconds to remember that Flora sneaked into my room last night. I stared at the back of her head a few seconds before I decided unravel my arms from her and to get up, I looked at the time and decided to go get ready for school. I looked at Floras face one last time before I entered the bathroom to make sure she's still asleep.

Flora

I blinked adjusting my eyes to my surroundings. I hear the a door open I face the direction of the sound only to see Daniel with nothing but a white towel wrapped around his waist, low enough to show his V lines. We stared at each other for a second until I looked away noticing the embarssing postion im in.

" Ohh sorry "

I attempt to get off the bed which only results to me rolling onto the floor. I lay there feeling the temputare of the cold wood on my skin.

" Are you alive " Daniel said, his voice obviously holding back laughter.

I get up giggling at my stupidness.

" I think so " I pick myself off the ground, trying not to look at his body I say " I'm going to get ready for school"

I then rush out and into the room I was supposed to sleep in. I get in the shower trying to wash away the sinful things I was thinking. I come out the shower and see a girl.

Daniel

I heard a scream and ran towards it, only to open the door and see Vanessa and Flora laughing.

" What happened ?! " I questioned

Vanessa comes and pinches my cheeks

" aww Diggs you didnt tell me you were gunna have a girl over "

I see Flora snickering at Vanessa's actions towards me. Her body wrapped tightly in a towel, her wet hair flung around her shoulders.

" Umm where do you think your looking ? " Vanessa said with an arched brow.

" Um I ah I " I stutter my eyes still glued on Flora and Vanessa shoves me out the door.

Flora

I was wearing Vanessa's clothes because my clothes still had not fully dried. I had explained to her my situation and why i'm here, he didnt mind she was even a bit excited. She decide she wanted to dress me up that morning, i refused to let her straighten my hair. If i went home with straight hair dad would get angry again. She decided to make me wear burgundy coloured jeggings with an
Aztec crop top. She added brown wedges to the outfit, she persuaded me not to wearing my contacts, but I still took them knowing that I have to change back to normal before heading home. I thanked her by giving her a hug, she was really sweet considering she found me in her room with nothing but a towel on.

I gallop down the staircase my hand connected to the railing. I SMELL FOOD. I peek into the kitchen and see Daniel placing pancakes onto two plates, I take a seat in front of a plate and smile at him remembering all his nice geustures to me so far.

" So why were you two screaming ? "

" Well I guess she was suprised to see a random girl half naked in her room, you know it's not something your used to seeing everyday "

We finished breakfast and then Daniel drove us to school.

Daniel opened the door for me when we arrived. I felt everyone staring but I thought maybe they were staring at Daniels rolls royce but as we walked closer to the building I felt there eyes following me and Diggy. We ignore there stares and say our goodbyes and agreed to meet at lunch. I opened my locker and placed my spare clothes in there and take my books. Shutting my locker I make my way to class but I bump into someone causing my books to fall. The person crouches down and helps me pick up my books, I look up.

Jake.

What should I say, last time I saw him I kissed him and he, just sent me away. I should just act like nothings happened.
He looked at me scanning my body and face. I smiled trying to divert the awkward tension. He smiled back.

" hey "

" Umm hi "

" Are you new ? I could show you around "

What. Oh yeah Vanessa fixed me up this morning, I know I look different but he could of at least recognised me. I snatch my books from his hands and walked away without saying anything more.
