Heeeey!
Kerri
"How did it go after I left?" Laurie took a bite out of her cinnamon crunch bagel thin.
"Good. How was your boyfriend's house?"
"Trying to change the topic are we?" she raised a perfectly plucked eyebrow.
"If you must know," i paused for dramatic effect. "Spencer and I hit it off pretty well. He is so hot like phenomally hot. He's so warm too! As odd as it may sound, I seriously want to cuddle with him. Spencer's a big warm teddy bear that I can't wait to squeeze." i sighed dreamily thinking about his big tan biceps that I wanted to wrap around me.
Laurie looked at me with wide eyes, "oh my gosh I won't ask you about him again just calm down you freak!"
"Well you asked!" I snapped.
"I did not expect you to act super crazy about him." I was not acting 'super crazy' I was crazy but only a teensy weensy bit. Just a smidget.
"I woke up this morning and couldn't wait to see him," i then frowned. "I haven't seen him yet." Like yesterday, I thought that we would run into each other on the elevator. Prominently, that's not what happened.
"Go see him then," Laurie stated like it was no big deal.
"What would I say?"
"Hi would be a start," she turned around and began typing up a storm.
"What did you say to your boyfriend when you guys first met?" Briefly, she stopped typing up a mass email.
"Something along the lines of 'Hey sexy'," That does sound like something she would say. She seemed pretty outgoing, comfortable in her own skin, and quite assertive. Her and Susie could become some type of tag team and break hearts together. "Be a little forward. Guys like that," she turned back around to finish up her email.
"I'll be back," I checked my makeup in a small compact before standing up. Wandering through the mazes of cubicles to try and find Spencer's, I thought of what I could say that:
A. Wouldn't make me sound like and idiot
B. Wouldn't make me sound obsessed and/ir desperate
C. Was funny
D. Made me seem interesting enough to hold a proper conversation with. No one would want to be in my head right now.
"Kerri?" Spencer's voice pulled me out of mt dizzying thoughts.
What do I say? This was a complete facepalm moment. As many guys that I've flirted with in the past, I can't even rack up a good line? "Kerri?" Spencer's perfectly shaped lips made my name look good as he spoke it.
"Hey," I smiled.
"What are you doing all the way over here?" he- or should i say his body?- made his cubicle look reeeeeal nice.
His chest was covered in a white button down shirt that had the top two buttons undone. Just thinking about what was going on under the shirt made me bite my lip. Huh, second day here and I already have a mad crush on a guy I barely knew. It must be the summer boy buzz kickin in.
"I came to see you," that was easier than making up some line with a dirty, suggestive meaning behind it.
"Is that so?" he asked smiling.
"Um, yeah," i nodded.
He looked behind him, giving me a chance to examine his work space. It was pretty clean except for a pile of pictures and papers on his desk. Next to his computer monitor, he had a corkboard with pictures of what looked like his family, some dogs, trees, different types of electrical gadgets, and random lists.
