Chapter 2- Best Friend and Best Friend's Brother.

Katiya

Endine was being extremely overdramatic as he showed me around. His smile was unwavering, warm and made me feel, well, happy. He seemed to know this hotel like his own home. It already was beginning to feel like home for me too, but that wasn't all too hard since I'd been living in a shithole my whole life.

We were about to go up to the third floor when he suddenly stopped. I followed his gaze up the stairs to see another boy. From here all I could see was his dark hair but as he descended the stairs his features became clearer. Before I got a good look at him Endine had embraced him in a hug.

"Shanks you freak of nature! How are you?" He asked as he let go.

"Yeah, I'm alright." The new guy shrugged.  Endine was practically jumping with excitement as he pulled him towards me. When Shanks looked at me I was shocked at how blue his eyes were.

 "This is Katiya! We found her when we were driving up here!"

"What is she, some type of stray bitch?" He spat, his voice laced with the type of venom dad used when he was mad at me.

"Fuck you!" I cried as I narrowed my eyes at him, only realizing after that they couldn't see since I was still wearing the sunglasses. He just chuckled while Endine watched cautiously.

"Hey Shanks, do you mind not pissing off the hottie I'm trying to win over?" He said as he pushed Shanks away from me gently.

"Endine, you could do so much better than her. How long have you even known her?"

"A day and a bit..."

"And in another day she'll have moved on to someone else after using you."

"No way in hell I would use someone like that!" I hissed as I stepped forward towards him feeling my powers stirring the air inside the room. I had to be careful or I might tear this place down from the inside.

Shanks

Ugh, I cannot believe Endine sometimes. What was with the hugging and the girls anyway? He knew I hated people, well except for him. He was practically my brother; my better brother. I was going to say something to him about Kyle's massive crush on him but the he interrupted with her. Just as I opened my mouth to insult her again the ass I called my actual, biological brother decided to interrupt.

"Endine! Is that really you?" Kyle called as he raced down the stairs and picked up my best friend.

"Uh, hey Kyle." He replied awkwardly, squirming and trying to get away from the death grip my brother had him in.

"You've gotten so tall! When did I see you last anyway?"

"Uh, couple of years ago." He finally managed to get free and basically ran to Katiya's side. Kyle finally noticed her since he had just been pulled from his little fantasy that Endine thought he was anything more than a friend, a very very distant friend.

"Huh, who's this?"

"This is Katiya! She needed a ride to the airport so we let her get one with us!"

"She's trouble if you ask me." I said, glaring at her.

"Well sorry." She mocked. "I'll get my things and leave then." She turned on her heel and went back to her own room, slamming the door when she was there. I rolled my eyes.

"Girls are such drama queens."

"You do realize I actually, really like her, right?!" Endine whirled on me actually getting mad for once.
