I slowly open my eyes as my mother gently shakes me. "Scarlet? Scarlet? Wake up sweetie, we're here." I groan and rub my eyes. Moving from New Jersey to California has been hell. I get my back pack with all the stuff that I need (laptop, pencils, sketchpad, earphones, and MP3 player), and get out of the car. I look at the house and grin a little. This house is WAY bigger than our last house. You see, we had to move to California since my dad's company had to transfer the main offices here. The moving was hell, as I mentioned previously, but totally worth it, I think at least.
I walk through the huge gates and to our new yard. The yard was kinda covered in weeds but my mom could probably pretty our yard up in a few hours, she's the gardening and kitchen master. She's like Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen, except nicer. Her food tastes SOOOO fucking good, it's orgasmic. Okay, I'm getting carried away with explaining my mom's cooking. I walk on the brick pathway that leads up to the wooden porch. I walk up the steps, the old floor boards creaking as I walk on them, and onto the porch. It looked...old. I'm not talking about, "old, but still likable", I'm talking about "withered and abandoned for 50 years old". "This is gonna need some redecorating." I mumble to myself.
I through the door and into the house, it definitely looks better on the inside. I look around the place, needs a little bit of fixing, but not too much. I walk towards the stairs and head to the 2nd floor. I look down the hallway and walk into a random room. Yep, this is mine. It wasn't too big, nor too small. I put my bag down on the empty floor and look at a nightstand near the window. I walk towards it and open the drawer. Empty. I sigh and move the nightstand to where I want it to be. I walk back down stairs and to the car to my parents.
"So, how's the interior?" My dad asks as he's picking up a bag from the car with his and mom's stuff in it. "Well, the inside's fine, it's the porch that really needs to be redecorated." I say putting my hands into my pockets. "Interesting. Found your room yet?" He asks taking another bag from the car. "Yep." I respond nonchalantly, not really giving a care since I did find it. "That's good to know. Well, the moving truck will get here at around four," he looks at his watch. "And it's about 3:30 right now so, why don't you go and look around the neighborhood, eh?" I nod and start to walk away.
I start to go in a random direction, looking back from time to time incase they need me. I walk by this house and see a boy mowing the lawn. The kid looked about 13, skinny, wears glasses, and is wearing a Metallica t-shirt and skinny jeans. I continue to walk around the place, looking at the street signs to at least know the place better. "Hey!" I immediately look to my right to see another boy waving at me. I wave back kinda awkwardly and put my hand down. He runs over to me and is smiling. Oh god, oh god, what it he's a serial killer? A rapist? A murderer? I was taken out of my thought with him saying, "So, are ya new here?" I look at him and nod. "What your name? Mines Billie, Billie Joe Armstrong. Oh, and Billie is spelled B-I-L-L-I-E." He says. "My name's Scarlet, Scarlet Agatha Waters. Nice to meet you." I stick my hand out and he kindly shakes it. He doesn't live too far away from me at least. I'm just new to this neighborhood and I'm already making friends. He grabs my hand and brings me over to his house. He opens the door and I was introduced to two people. "Mom, this Scarlet, Scarlet Waters. She's our new neighbor." Billie's mother comes over and hugs me. "Nice to know we have new people around." She says letting go. I smile at her sweetly. I look at another girl who has really pretty hair. She smiles at me and I return a smile to her. "Scarlet, this is Adrienne, my girlfriend. Adrienne, this is Scarlet, my new friend." We shake hands and greet each other. This neighborhood is a place to live in if you wanna make friends quickly.
I look at my watch and, ITS ALREADY 4:00?! Damn, time flies. "Um, I have to go back to my parents now. Y'know, help them with moving stuff." I say standing up from the couch. "Oh, okay then. Come visit us anytime you like, Scarlet!" Billie says as I leave through the front door. We give each other goodbye waves and so does Adrienne. I learned that Billie plays guitar, and he's really good at it! He's in this band called Sweet Children. He also owns a guitar named Blue which has his first and middle name initials on it and a LOT of fucking stickers.
I get home quickly and dad asks me about where I went. I explained to him what happened and he says, "Well, this neighborhood sure is a friendly one!" I smile and reply with, "Yep! I love it here already. This is gonna be a good year, I hope at least."

Heeeeeeeeeyooooooooo! So, the first chapter of this story is done, yay! Don't worry, you'll get to meet the other band members in the later chapters. You guys just got a sneak peek of Mikey mowing the lawn lol. I'm gonna try and introduce the guys before her school starts so she doesn't have to go through the hardships of making new friends awkwardly at school. Billie's pretty chill dude and is gonna be probably in every chapter of this story. Spoiler: he's one of her best-friends in the future. I may not be able to update everyday because, school and stuff. But, I will try my best to update as much as I can. I'll try to update on Friday or Thursday, and if not those two days, then maybe Saturday. Anyways, byeeeeeeee!
