Prologue
-The Morning Before Abduction-
Yawning, I trudge down the stairs, my black hair falling over my purple eyes. I jump off the last step and head towards the living room which is right next to the step.
"Hey, Bell! Good morning!" My younger sibling, Mac, yelled at me. He wrapped his tiny, four year old arms around my legs.
I picked him up, rubbing his brown hair. I carried him back into the living room. I stared at the Christmas tree, staring at the big, glowing angel. She looked beautiful. Not that all angels look like her.
I placed Mac onto the floor and waited patiently for Mom and Dad.
It was Christmas Day. Presents scattered all around the pine tree, aching to be ripped opened. I never really like Christmas since the day I lost everything and had to start a new but oh well.
Mom and Dad slowly made it to the room. Mom's heart shaped face was outlined by her brown hair that laid in bed curls. She was dressed in an elegant, silk nightgown. Pink stripes race up and down the white background. Dad's blonde hair rested in a combed fashion. He might have looked awake but his pjs said differently. His blue striped top and bottom silk pjs were wrinkled to the max. I giggled at their expressions.
"You look funny, Mom!" Mac beat me to the punch. She stretched to the sky, yawning.
I laughed real hard, earning a stern look from Dad. I hung my head in shame.
They sat on the brown, leather couch. They gave us the 'look' telling us silently to open presents while they stare blankly. They are probably thinking about sex and work. That's all they ever care about now.
Mac picked out all of his presents, tearing through all of the wrapping. He got a new toy truck, lots of those bloody Legos in all sorts of varieties and colors, clothes(bleh), and a set of train tracks for his ever growing train collection.
I opened my presents. All I got was clothes and shoes. I was kinda hoping on this new book about angels and demons called The Ever Going Fight.
Mac quickly picked up all of his new toys, toting them up the stairs, making a total of five trips.
"Thanks for the new toys!" His smile was so genuine. Unfortunately, that would be the last I would see him.
I picked up my new things. "Thanks for the new clothes. I love you." I didn't mean it though.
I climbed up the stairs, shutting my door. I closed my blinds and laid on my purple colored bed. I let silent tears escape, praying to God that this was just a dream.
I could hear Mac playing with his trains.
"Choo choo!" He yelled. I could imagine him slamming Thomas the train into another Thomas.
I dangled my head off of the edge of my bed. 'My life sucks.' I thought to myself.
Soon, I dozed off.
-Night of Abduction-
*Unknown point of view*
Arabella laid peacefully in her bed, hugging her pillow. Her black hair sprawled all around her purple bed.
She went to sleep, unknowingly leaving her window open. A pale hand pushed the window up, revealing a white face with green eyes. The face belong to a man. A vampire.
He jumped silently into her room. He explored her bedroom before waking up Arabella.
He smiled devilishly at her before pulling out a shot. He injected the fluid into her arm, causing her body to go limp. He picked her up, jumping out the window and into the night.
