You may assume that I'm a horrifying person. You may think I have gone completely bonkers; but hey, strange is my middle name. This story will be peculiar, full of adventure, and there will be possibly be some romance. I don't know yet completely. It is because I'm still in it.

The night of my graduation I went back. Back to what? You may ask. You'll find out eventually. It will be long enough to wonder and short enough to see some of the light at the end of the tunnel. Your intelligence will see you through, we both hope. Your patience will mercify you, I hope.

Anyways, let's start from the beginning of the story. When I was younger, I had such an interest in learning; mostly in History and Science. This continued all throughout grade school and high school. Don't get me wrong with this statement: "I am so glad high school is over." I didn't mean I hated school or anything to do with learning. It was just sometimes, I got made fun of.

My mom and I arrived at my graduation party about fifteen minutes late. The guests didn't mind too much because we had set some of things early in the morning before going to a college visit.

My best-friend Chelsea Berkins was there. She was African American, but you could barely notice. She was fairly skinny with sky blue dyed hair. Her brown eyes sparkled as I entered the room. I took a deep sigh and still apologized for being late to my own party.

"There she is! Carolina!" My aunt hollered happily toward me. She ran up to me, being younger than most aunts are. "You cut your hair? It was so long before, Care." She exclaimed while playing with my crimson red hair that got cut shorter for this exact graduation party. "Don't you remember that this is a 1940's graduation party?" I took a deep breath and blushed along with my aunt. Aerieana looked at the floor then smiled at me.

I laughed a little giggle when my mother came up to me and announced that everyone brought presents for me. "WOW! I must be really important or special to them." I thought and my whole face lit up.

Chelsea walked up to me, handing her my present wrapped in lime green paper. She smiled slightly while she watched me grab the lime green rectangle slowly. "I wonder what it is, Chels."

"You'll find out soon enough!" She laughed.

"Should I open it?" I raised my voice to the other attendants.

"Yes you should, Carolina." The crowd hollered back.

I began to rip some of the paper off when the attendants huddled around the present, Chelsea, and I.

My heart started beating rapidly and I fidgeted. I took a deep breath, closing my eyes and opened my eyes once again. I commenced opening the lime green rectangle and it seemed as if it were a book.

"Is this a book?" I asked Chelsea.

"Sure is, Carolina." She exclaimed quietly. Chelsea took my other hand as her arms joggled.

When the package was opened fully everybody read the front cover. "Let's see. It says Being Bisexual: Our Walk by Chelsea Berkins." My mother shrieked.

"WHAT?" Almost everybody yelled towards me.
