Ohana Means Family

Part 5 - First Night

I woke up as Jade tried to get me out of the van when we got home. Home... That's such a nice word to me! I opened my eyes and looked at Jade.

"We're home!" She whispered. She unbuckled my seatbelt and picked me up. I looked around as my eyes got used to the light again. Jade put me down when we got in the house. I gave my coat and boots to Perrie and told about my try-outs to Leigh and Jesy. The girls all congratulated me and were proud of me. 

Perrie decided to cook carbonara for dinner tonight. I really like that meal so I was happy about it. While she was cooking, I completed my homework with Jade. She helped me with math and english. I always thought homework was boring but Jade made it really fun and I understood every single page. 

When I was done, we cleared the table and set it up for dinner time. We ate our food and talked about tomorrow and what they would buy for me. We also talked about gymnastics and random stuff so we got to know each other better.

When dinner was done Jade and Leigh washed the dishes and I sat down with Perrie and Jesy in the chilling room. Before going upstairs, Jesy got my suitcase and got my pyjamas out of it. 

"Go put your pj's on and then we can watch a movie" Jesy suggested.

I grabbed my old pink pyjamas and went into the bathroom. I put it on and look at myself in the mirror. I hate that pyjama! I hope I can get a new one tomorrow. I get out of the bathroom and sit on the couch next to Perrie. Jesy was sitting on a beanbag next to the couch. Soon, Jade and Leigh joined us and thought it was a good idea to watch a movie. They even let me pick it out. I didn't watch a lot movie at the orphanage so I didn't know which one to choose. To help me, Jade picked out five disney movies and asked which one I would like to watch. I pointed the one that said "Lilo and Stitch". It seemed really funny. The girls agreed and Leigh put the movie on. We all cuddled up on the couch with blankets.

The movie is really cute and funny so far but my eye lids are getting heavy. I rested my head on Perrie's lap and she played in my hair. I struggled to stay awake. 

Lilo was really sad at this point in the movie, but Stitch said "Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten." I thought it was really cute. I looked around the room. There was my Ohana. I loved them a lot so far. They've done so much to make me happy in less than a day!

The warmth of the blanket, Perrie's fingers running through my hair and the feeling of being loved and protected got the best of me. I started to suck my thumb, my eyes closed and I fell asleep.

Jade's P.O.V. 

I'm on a bean bag in front of the couch where Perrie and Molly are sitting. The movie we were watching was Lilo and Stitch and it's the cutest movie ever. It's not my favorite disney movie but I still like it. What Stitch just said made me feel almost like a mam to Molly. I think we are all feeling the same way. 

Mrs. Jonna told us about her past and what happened to her. It felt horrible knowing that at such a young age she's lived something so traumatizing. After that event, she was bullied at her orphanage! What a miserable life she lived. I hope we can bring her love and joy now. We need to make her happy and protect her. We're her family, her Ohana.

I heard soft breathing behind me. I turned around and saw Molly asleep, her thumb in her mouth slightly opened. I looked and Perrie and whispered that Molly was asleep. All the girls noticed and Leigh took a picture. It was so cute!

"She can sleep with me" I suggested. I got up and picked her up bridal style. Perrie followed me to my room and lifted the covers so I could set her down and I pulled the covers over her little curled up body. Perrie pulled Molly's thumb out.

"It could damage the inside of her mouth" She stated.

I nodded and we walked out of the room.

"Nanite Molly" I whispered. Perrie closed the door and we went back to the living room. We sat down and talked about her. One of our main concerns was how we would announce it to the mixers. There was already pictures on the internet of us with her when we were at the gym so the mixers knew something was happening, but we wanted to make it official. We would probably do a live chat or post a picture on instagram.

We watched another movie and each decided to go to bed. We hugged before walking to our room. When I opened the door, I heard that same soft breathing. I slid under the covers and I felt Molly's body turn around. 

"Jade?" She asked in a sleepy voice.

"Yeah" I answered.

"Thank you" she whispered and cuddled up to me. I wrapped one arm around her and we both fell asleep peacefully.
