There's No Such Thing
This story begins with a girl named Rikki sneaking back into her room after going to a club with some friends. Rikki and her mother get into an argument causing Rikki to storm out of the house and leave. But her mother follows her in her car. As they're racing along the streets in New Jersey Rikki trys to cross an intersection but then sees that a car is coming. She steers the car out of the way causing her to spin the car back around only to see her mother hit an SUV head on. Her mother is rushed to the hospitle but she dies a few hours later. Since Rikki doesn't have any close family members she has to move with here mothers best friend Angela and her son Alex. Rikki has kown them since she was a baby. Her and Alex used to be best friends but when he moved to a different school in 7th grade the just grew apart.
