iMight Enjoy Myself
"Looking forward to things is half the pleasure of them."
-Lucy Maud Montgomery MacDonald
"Do you really think TEXAS of all places will help us clear our heads!" Carly complained.
Two days ago they'd been in Seattle after going to camp. After witnessing Nevel Papperman, Mandy, iCarly's biggest fan, and Edwin Malette, some dude they never met get murdered by some dude named Jason Voorhees, and hearing that Sam and TBO were murdered by some guy named Freddy Krueger, Spencer, Carly, Freddy, Mrs. Benson and Gibby headed out on a road trip to Texas.
"We can go somewhere else afterwards, but let's check it out since were already here," Spencer said.
"Spencer, we're almost out of gas," Mrs. Benson pointed out.
They pulled over at a gas station. It was pretty lucky they found one, cause they were literally in the middle of nowhere.
"Howdy," a man said as the car came to a stop. He must've owned the place.
"Hey," Spencer said. "We're low on gas."
"Well, that makes two of us," the man said. "But a truck's comin' with some more here in a few hours, why don't y'all have some barbecue why yer waitin'?"
"What do you have," Spencer asked.
"Burgers, hot dogs, ribs."
"Sam liked ribs," Carly said.
Freddie put his arm around her.
"Burgers are fine," Spencer told him.
The man went back inside. They waited.
"We're all out," the man said as he came out.
"Well, if y'all need something to do, there's a lake out there by an old house." He pointed to where he was talking about. It was in the far distance.
"It'll be dark soon, you want to go swimming?" Spencer asked them.
"That sounds like fun!" Mrs. Benson said. Her voice was peppy. She was really trying to get Carly's, Freddie's and Gibby's spirit up.
"Y'all better get out there fast. It's gettin' late," the man said.
They said thanks and started to walk. After five minutes they got there and swam.
