When i turn the corner you are there. We are going opposite directions like we always have. Every time i see you, your eyes remind me of our long lost story that never got its happy ending. I see the light that illuminates our bodies from within, and the darkness that surrounds our outer selves. Its early and I put on a smile to suffice as a "hi." I see no emotion from you after my sudden gesture but right as we seemed to pass, from view to out of view "I can't." slips from you deepest soul. My smile is quickly demolished by your sudden voice i long to hear forever. A soft gentile "what?" escapes my lips. "I can't." It repeats in my head like a song. We haven't talked. I haven't given you anything that makes you say "I can't." But truthfully, they only thing i cant seem to do is feel complete without you.
