Burning Love

A pink blur soared into a rock wall, causing it to rumble and the ground to shake. The jagged and broken rocks fell along with the mass that had cause the mini rock avalanche.

The said mass pounded and pushed at the rocks, all the while grunting and yelling.

"I'm stuck!! It's no use I can't get out!!" Natsu yelled furiously, shoving at the boulders and spitting fire.

Lucy rapidly set to work, trying to pull her key ring out of her pouch.

"I'll summon Virgo to help set you free!" Lucy's determined face fell, her eyes widened and she brought her hands to her face. "No ... now is not the time to run out of power."

"Lucy behind you!"

"Get away!!"

Happy and Natsu yelled in unison before she felt something hard shove her forward with so much force the ground cracked on impact. Lucy gave a scream of pain and distress as Natsu ranted "Leave her alone!!" He returned his focus to the boulders that hand him pinned "Come on!"

"Relax little guy, you have a front row seat to tonights execution." Dough boy spoke calmly.

"AGHHHHH! Bastard!!" (Sorry for that ^.^) Natsu retaliated.

"Let her go!! Take that and that!" Happy flew at the giant sending his tiny fists into his cheek.

"Calm down, you'll join her on the grill soon enough." Diaper boy hit Happy with the back of his hand, sending him flying into rock where he slid to the ground.

"Get out of here Lucy! You need to chase that brat down or we'll lose her. Don't worry about me just keep running and don't look back!" Natsu screamed, his eyes wide with underlying fear.

Lucy tried to breathe but the pain was too great. Gasping as she lifted her head she fixed her gaze on the pink haired man, her gaze determined yet scarred. "No way ..."

Natsu eyes widened and his pupil contracted with surprise as the Seven Kin of Purgatory stomped his enormous foot into Lucy's back.

Lucy cried out in pain, every ounce of her body ached. Tears ran down her face and she bit back another scream.

Natsu watched, frozen as his fear bubbled to the surface. He had to get free, he couldn't let this fat pig take away His Lucy. His Lucy. He had to save her, he couldn't let this over grown baby take her away from just when he began to figure out how he felt.

Kain Hikaru sent his foot into her back again and again. Her vision way hazy and tinged with black. She couldn't pass out now, with Natsu pinned and her on the brink of unconsciousness, she couldn't afford to fall asleep. Happy and Natsu where depending on her. She still hadn't told Natsu everything, there was so much she hadn't done.

Dough boy yanked her head up and she locked gazes with Natsu "... I refuse to runaway, even if I could I wouldn't. I'd much rather stay here with you guys, I can't think on anything that would make me happier."

She put forth her best Lucy Smile she could muster; tears spilling from the corners of her eyes.

Natsu's eyes narrowed, his eyebrows knitting confusion. How could her staying here with him and almost dying make her happier?

"I guess that's one way of saying goodbye." The Giants voice had deepened, and his eyes burned a bright red as his lust for blood heightened.
"I can't wait to pop that cute little head of yours off."

"You let go of her!" Natsu voice cracked as his concern overwhelmed and another foreign feeling over whelmed him. A burning desire to hold Lucy close and never let her go. To protect her from anything that may try and harm her. He could feel the fire rising in his belly and he took in a deep breath as it began to boil over.
