“And that is how you...Miss Sakazaki!”
I remained asleep. Correction—pretending to sleep. I’m pretty sure he’s gonna get mad seeing a student falling asleep during his discussion. Surely, he would— “OW!!”
I raised my head and touched the part I was hit.
Ryoma-sensei, our homeroom teacher and my one and only love, was standing—towering above me with crossed arms and knotted forehead. He was holding a rolled up paper.
That must be what hit my head. (-__-)
“Miss Sakazaki.”
“It’s Yui for you, sensei,” I flirtatiously said which made everyone break out in giggles. Well, they all know how crazy I am for him.
He’s been our homeroom teacher for 4 years. Don’t worry guys, he’s not that old. He’s actually so smart he finished schooling when he was 19! He’s still in his 20s. :D
“I have no time to entertain your jokes, Miss Sakazaki. You’re staying after this!” he thundered. Through his glasses, I can tell he’s quite mad.
Well, that’s one of his aspects which I find adorable about him.
I’ve been giving him love letters for the past 4 years but he always gives it back to me without even reading it. I know, it sounds depressing. But I’m not depressed one bit!
I’m so gonna make him accept my feelings!
“Miss Sakazaki, if you have time to look determined then you might as well open your book to page a hundred and forty-three.”
I gasped as soon as I heard those numbers and stood up, beaming. “Are you finally confessing to me, sensei~!?”
He cleared his throat and frowned at me, “It’s a number...Miss Sakazaki.”
“It’s Yui, sensei!”
And everybody laughed again. Well, this sort of thing has been going on ever since he became our homeroom teacher.
He just shook his head and continued discussing. I, on the other hand, continued staring at him. I can’t help it. He’s just so...gorgeous! His long hair...the way he talks, the way he walks, his scent—everything about him just makes me love him!
“Hey, Yui!” my seatmate whispered. “Don’t you think you should just give up on Ryoma-sensei?”
I frowned and whispered back, “No way.”
“Face it, Yu. We’re graduating students. You can’t stay here forever! Besides, he’s not accepting your feelings at all!”
She’s right. We’re graduating students. After we graduate, we’ll go on with our lives and sensei will stay here to teach the next batch.
“NO WAY! THERE’S NO WAY I’M GIVING UP WITHOUT PUTTING UP A FIGHT!” I yelled with a clenched fist.
Wait...
Yelled!? O.O
I looked around the classroom and found myself standing with my other hand on my hips and my right foot on top of my table.
Everyone’s eyes were on me and I could really see black spirits coming out from sensei.
“Miss...Sa-ka-ZA-KI!!!”
The bell rang, which meant dismissal. I gasped as the others laughed and hurriedly ran outside the room. Sensei was mad, afterall. And he’s not just mad...he’s extremely mad.
Wait...he did say I’m staying after class right? Uh-oh...
“Here! Write the word sorry. Back to back!” he said as he handed me a one whole yellow paper.
“Sensei...” I cried. I’m so gonna try to plead with him.
He glared at me, “Write.”
But I don’t think it’s gonna work.
He sat in-front of my table and opened his book then started reading. When I finished writing three words, I looked at him and bit the end of my pen.
“When will you accept my feelings, sensei?”
He just continued reading without looking at me. “I have no time for jo—”
I stood up which made a dragging sound of the chair. “Sensei! I’ve been telling you what I feel for this past 4 years! You still think it’s a joke?”
He took a deep breath and looked at me, “Listen, you’re still young, Miss Saka—”
“Yui!” I insisted.
“As I was saying, you’re still too young,” he continued. “When you graduate and step out into the real world, you’ll find more chances to fall in-love and be loved. Don’t just go and settle that heart of yours to me. Do you understand?” Then for the first time, he smiled at me, “Do you, Yui?”
His smile made my heart do a somersault. The way he called me by my name made my heart jump out of the window and commit suicide.
Charmed, I just nodded and continued with whatever I was doing.
When I was down to the last word, I looked at him again and a wild idea appeared.
“Hey, sensei?”
“Hmm?”
“If...after I graduate and come back to find you after several years, would you accept me by then?”
He lowered his book and looked at me with wide eyes, “What...”
I shrugged, “I mean, you never rejected me once. Well, you did reject my letters but you didn’t—never—gave any hint of rejecting my feelings.”
When he didn’t answer, I continued, “Your common answer is that you have no time for my jokes. It would’ve been better if you said that you don’t want to be linked with a student and that you have no plans in entertaining what I’m feeling for you.”
I couldn’t tell whether he was shocked or stoned but one thing is for sure...
“Sensei, you...have no intention of rejecting me, do you?”
And when he didn’t answer, my heart went crazy. It made me see a ray of hope.
I hit the jackpot.
“That’s not. No. That’s not it. No.”
Awww~ he stuttered! O///O
I giggled, “You’re making me fall in-love with you again, sensei! You’ll wait for me, right?”
He stood up and slammed his book shut. “You’re wrong! Just...just finish what you’re doing and go home!”
He looks really flustered. Teehee. :3
“You gotta prepare yourself, sensei,” I giggled.
He grunted, “Miss Sakazaki...”
I leaned on the table and sweetly smiled at him, “Or should I start calling you Ryoma?”
His face flushed red and I loved it.
