I woke up and looked to the right of the bed to find that Tom wasn't there. I found him in the kitchen making a smoothie so I walked up and hugged him from behind.

"Hey Babe you scared me" he said chuckling whilst turning around in my arms.

"Sorry. We need to leave in about 30 minutes if we don't want to be late for our flight" I said looking up at him (I'm 5'6 and he is 6'5).

"Okay you go and shower. I will drink this. I'm already showered I just need to get dressed" he said with a big smile I guess he is really excited to go to England and meet my parents.

After giving Tom a quick peck on the lips I ran up stairs, had a shower, done my hair and makeup and got dressed. I was wearing some black skinny jeans, a navy blue t-shirt, my lifeguard hoodie and some navy blue converse.

I work as a lifeguard as well. I came on a traineeship about 2 years ago. Tom and I hit it of straight away. Within days of me working there we would stay at each other's places just because we liked each other's company and we made it official about 2 weeks in.

We grabbed our suitcases and got in the taxi Tom had ordered. Off we went to the airport.

We arrived at my parents house. It was typical British weather. Tom stood there wearing shorts, flip flops (or thongs he would tell me), and a loose singlet.

"I did tell you the weather was like this in the UK" I said smirking.

"I know but I didn't think it would be this bad" he pouted.

We walked up to the door where my parents were waiting. They greeted us and they immediately loved Tom. As it was around 6:00pm they made us dinner and we caught up while eating it.

"So guys how did you meet each other and how long have you been together?" My mum asked.

"We met at work, I'm a lifeguard as well and we've been together for nearly 2 years" he grinned.

"Wow 2 years. Do u get partnered up at work" my dad asked.

"No dad. Hoppo likes to keep us as far apart as he can at work because all we do is muck about but he does organise our lunch breaks at the same time so we can either go and buy lunch together or surf with each other" I replied with a laugh.

After dinner we all decided to go to bed. Tom and I fell asleep all cuddled up in my old bed since we weren't used to the cold.
