Halo: A Glassed Past

Chapter 1: Abducted

Yuri was walking home after an intense football game. Unfortunately him and his friends lost but that didn't matter to him.
He enjoyed his time with his friends.
The midnight sky was clear as he was gazing at his home planets two moons.

Yuri and his family moved to the colonized planet known as Athenis. It was going to be a huge tourist attraction but economy was a severe problem in the outer colonies of space.

A loud sound erupts as a group of transport ships soar over him.
Strange, he thought to himself.
The ships usually arrived at the docking station early in the morning.
He knew this because of his father. He brought Yuri to the station once and gave him a tour around the building.

The thoughts were immediately cut when he spotted his house.

He spent his evening with his mother Sasha and his father Leonard.
Going to bed that night felt great as he was tucking himself in... Slowly falling asleep.

A window is destroyed in a house closeby.
Startled by the sound, Yuri looks out the window to inspect the ongoing robbery.
To his surprise, a group of armed masked men were searching the neighbours house.

All of this was interrupted as he heard a muffled voice yelling "There's one! Over in the yellow house!".
Yuri saw in horror as one of the men were pointing at him.
He dove under his bed hoping that they would've forgot about him but it didn't last long until they were inside the house.

His parents woke up by all this noice and started to carefully walk down the stairs to the first floor.

Yuri couldn't let them get hurt by these men so he let out a scream.

This puts everything in motion, Sasha and Leonard enters his room only to hear the sound of somebody walking up the stairs.

Dad went out to intercept the assailant only to be met by gunfire.
Mom screams as the masked person enters the room. He hits her with the back of his weapon, leaving her unconscious on the floor.

Yuri was in a shock and couldn't move. All of this was out of his world.

He didn't have a chance to react as the murderer took hold of him, burrowing his nails into Yuris skin while dragging him past his mom and dad.

Trying to resist being kidnapped, Yuri struggled to escape the kidnappers grasp.
He breaks free and starts running towards his house.

But something pierces his leg and he falls flat on the ground.

Slowly falling asleep...
