Prologue: December 21st, 2012
Sasha Lee sat at her computer with a Mona Lisa smile on her face as she logged onto Facebook, and posted a status.
"Bye."
********* Two years later **********
Chapter 1
I walked into English 12 AP, thirty minutes late, and immediately all eyes were on me, giving me the once-over. First they'd take in my long chocolate-colored hair, perfectly shaped eyebrows, violet eyes, little ski slope nose, full pink lips. Then they'd travel down to my petite figure, down to my double D's, past my slim waist, to my hips, my long, skinny legs, and finally to my small size 5 feet. I smiled with amusement as all of their eyes opened wide. The guys were gawking, the girls were glaring. It was all I'd ever hoped for and more.
The teacher, Mr. Smith, smiled and led me to the front of the classroom.
"Class this is our new student. She just moved here, so I expect you all to welcome her to Oakwood High. Cassandra, will you introduce yourself?"
I stepped forward with a shy smile and in a melodious voice laced with a hint of a British accent said, "Hello everyone, I'm Cassandra Remodell. I'm a junior, and as Mr. Smith said, I'm new here and I look forward to meeting all of you. Thank you." I glanced around to a room full of shocked students and smirked on the inside.
Beaming, Mr. Smith directed me to a seat at the back of the class next to an attractive blond boy and returned to the lesson at hand, analyzing Hamlet. Peter tried to discreetly check me out.
"You like what you see, Peter?" I asked with a wink.
His eyes turned the size of saucers, "How'd you know my name?"
Crap. I quickly brushed it off, "Lucky guess."
He narrowed his eyes but he replied flatly, "You look really familiar."
"Oh yeah? Why's that?" I inquired calmly while I felt myself go into a fight-or-flight response.
"There's just something about you..." He furrowed his brows.
"We've probably met before," I interjected, "in your dreams."
He grinned and turned back to his book, "Welcome back, Sasha."
