Loving and forgiving a billionaire

Chapter 2

"I said I don't love you." she answered quietly, amazed the lie passed her lips a second time.

"Angel...I know that's not true." he stated in denial.

She pushed at his shoulders as she said through clenched teeth, "You don't know anything about me or my feelings. You never did, or you wouldn't have cheated on me."

"It was a test." he blurted as he grasped both of her wrists in one hand and held them above her head.

She stopped struggling and asked, "What were you testing her for? You were on top of her...you were both naked! I know what I saw!"

He replied, "She was only naked from the waist up, we were both wearing clothes from the waist down. It was a test for you."

"For me?" she mumbled in confusion.

"Yes, Andre set it up. He wanted to make sure you really loved me and weren't just with me for my money. He said if you got upset when you thought I was having an affair it would prove you cared. If you just accepted it & looked the other way, it would mean you didn't care. You weren't supposed to run away." he answered.

"Oh my god! You're an idiot! Andre never liked me...he promised me that I would regret getting involved with you. Boy was he right! I wish I had never met you! You ruined my life. You killed my baby!" she cried trying in vane to get her hands free.

Grayson was so shocked at her words that she was able to shove him off her and scramble off the couch.

When he reached for her she screamed, "No! Don't touch me!"

"What baby?" he questioned quietly.

She was shaking, she hadn't meant to tell him, but she was so upset she wasn't thinking straight. Shaking her head 'no' she backed away from him. When her back hit the door, she turned around and reached for the door hand. She pulled the door open only to have it slammed shut by a large hand above her head. Then she was forced to turn around, with her back pressed against the door as he leaned into her asking, "What baby?"

She stared at him but refused to answer.

He slammed his fist against the door next to her head and demanded, "Harmony answer me damn it. What the hell are you talking about?"

"I was pregnant. I had been to the doctor that day, I wasn't feeling well. I thought I had the flu I was three weeks along." she finally answered, shoving at his muscular chest.

"How do you work out that I killed your baby?" he demanded angrily, easily subduing her hands again.

Harmony glared at him, "The stress, I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks after I got in an accident."

"What accident?" he asked suspiciously.

She commanded, "Let me go. I don't have to tell you anything. Just. Let. Me. Go." By this time she was crying.

"Jesus, I don't remember you arguing so much before. Just answer the question Angel." he stated.

"Let me go." she repeated in agitation.

He pressed himself against her so they were completely touching as he stated, "I'll let you go after you answer me. Angel you know I'm going to win so just give in."

"Damn it Grayson! I hate you." she stated glaring at him.

He looked at her as if she slapped him, he muttered, "Don't say that Angel."

When she saw the pained look on his face she almost relented and gave in but then remembered what had happened. She remarked, "Don't look at me like that Grayson Rothschild. You don't get to act hurt."

"Harmony, just tell me what accident you are talking about." he demanded angrily.

Harmony stared at him refusing to answer him.

"Fine..." he stated as he crushed his lips against hers.

Harmony tried to turn her head away but he held it in place with his hands as he plundered her mouth. She kept her lips tightly sealed, until he pressed his leg between hers, then she cried, "Gray no. Please stop..." as soon as she opened her mouth he thrust his tongue inside effectively cutting off her protest.

He deepened the kiss, taking all he could from her. He thrust his hands into her long auburn hair, pulling slightly to angle her head up. When he felt her starting to respond he ran one of his hands down her neck past the swell of her breasts to lift her blouse up. As soon as his finger tips touched the skin of her belly she whimpered. He broke the kiss long enough to say, "Angel I've missed you." then he continued to kiss her while slowly undressing her.

Only when she was completely naked did he start on his own clothes. She was so far gone she didn't notice he had undressed her until she felt his naked body press against her. She couldn't bring herself to protest when he kissed her neck and proceeded to make love to her.

Afterward he held her in his arms, rubbing her back soothingly. She lay there for several minutes relishing the closeness, then she pulled away from him saying, "Grayson Andrew Rothschild, I really hate you. You took advantage of the situation." When she tried to sit up he flipped them around so she was under him, struggling to get away from his fingers as he ran them across her body.

"Angel I will take advantage of every opportunity to get you naked and make you mine. Now tell me about your accident...Please." he asked looking into her eyes.

Harmony turned her head away, not answering him.

"Baby please." he pleaded, gently taking her chin and turning her head to face him.

"I was hit by a car. I was walking down the street, someone bumped me and I fell into the street. One car was able to swerve out of the way but a second car was coming too fast and wasn't able to avoid me. Just before the car hit me I saw Andre standing there smiling." she stated as she began to cry. "I was praying that they would be able to save the baby, but they said it would kill me. I don't remember exactly what they said was wrong but I was so upset I just wanted to die myself. I wanted the baby so badly." she said sadly.

"Why?" he inquired looking at her.

Staring at him she replied honestly, "It was yours. Despite everything I loved you so much....if you hadn't cheated on me I never would have been there."
