Intro into QftS Part 3: Timeline and Plotline

*story note* Just some info releasing, gathering, and also a bit of brainstorming as I type, for the novel I intend to write, called Quest for the Stone. The poor thing has been called that since I was 13, and there is no changing the title. Thank you, Lord of the Rings. :D

*This section is what I think I have set straight, as a Timeline and a basic Plotline for my novel. Let me know if it doesn't make sense in the comments. Enjoy!*

Plot Timeline:

1925 Marcus Aslanov and Rudolph Lapinov were born

1943- WW2, the boys turn 18 and join the Russian forces

1950-1953 Korean War. Both of them are 28 by the end

In this period somewhere, some prisoners are taken

1952 Marcus immigrates to Canada under a different name, Markus Aslanov.

1953 Marries Marie Auvry, adopts her last name well. They immigrate to the United States

1954 William James Auvry is born.

1962 Cuban Missile Crisis William is 7 years old.

1960's are a period of escalation with President Johnson

1969 Marcus goes back into Russia. Finds documents and Vietnam War P.O.W's William is 15.

1969 Nixon Doctrine to withdraw from Vietnam

1972-74 Nixon and Brezhnev meet for S.A.L.T talks, to limit the development of strategic weapons. Détente period. Markus decides to hold onto papers and see what will happen. William is 20.

1955-75 Vietnamese War

1972 William goes to uni. 1972 fall class.

1975 Marcus dies.

1976 William graduates. Is 22. Is recruited from his uni? Things going well in détente.

1980 Reagan is President. William is 26. Has been working for the C.I.A. for 4 years.

1981 Reagan amps up war again. Pavlovich makes his move. Get the William!

Winter of 1981: William in Russia. Captured. Presumed dead.

1981:

Spring: William escapes, goes to Ioressa, their city on Earth, with the Elves. Goes to Eserhoth to save the world. (March/April)

1982:

Early Winter. Quest is Completed. Tada!

Plotline:

The Elves come from Eserhoth, another place, another world. The method they use is a portal, which they call a Pass. It was created two hundred years previous by Elven sorcerers. Seeking to escape an Acirtain invasion (a group of Northern Elves), Talenter Elves (south eastern Elves) make the portal, expecting to reach into Suntal, or another friendly territory. Instead, they found Earth.

They have heavily fortified the Pass of Delias. But the Arnds have found a way to make their own portal with the help of the Sorceress Namita. They wish to invade Earth and take it for themselves. As of yet, they can only use their own Portal opening on Eserhoth and enter Earth through the Delias Pass opening. It is only a matter of time before they can get their own portal open on the Earth side.

There exists in Hothian World a set of magical stones, created by the early settlers of Eserhoth. These stones are lesseners of evil. Used by one of magic, the stones blatantly kill Arnds, goblins, and sulers. Amarletoon, Akanaifta, Silnirlis, and Tulithdela are their names. These stones do not kill based simply on racial discrimination, however. They kill based on the intent of wrongdoing in the user's mind. Their magic is strong.

Two of the stones are lost, and Silnirlis resides in Ioressa, to help keep the elven outpost safe. The Tulithdela was taken by Namars, the creator of the Sorceress who has made the Portal for the Arnds, Namita.

The Silnirlis is taken, despite its magical barriers. Combined with the news of the new portal, the Talenter Elves decide to rescue the stone from Namita. William decides to go with them, deeming this too important not to attempt.

They go to and travel to:

City of Etolul. Where the Pass of Delias is guarded.

Up through Cruse Territory, city of Silane.

Up into Hillan Territory, where Namar's Tower is. Close to Draug Hillan.

They learn the stone has been brought into Draug at the command of Namita. Confrontation with Namita. Namita disappears.

Journey up to Draug.

Finding of the Stone and escape into Hido. Lots of River and Ocean travel now as they journey back South.

Return to Talenter.

Back into Russia. William is recaptured.

Grand Finale of Events happens.

End.

Timeline of Plotline in Eserhoth:

(the seasons are different than on Earth. Spring on Earth is Fall on Eserhoth)

Spring of 1981= fall in Eserhoth

Summer of 1981= winter in Eserhoth

Fall of 1981= spring in Eserhoth

Winter/ into 1982= summer in Eserhoth

Fall: Etolul, winter begins as they get to Namars Towers.

Dreadful, gross winter travel up into Draug. Time passes and it is thaw as they escape.

Summer dawns as they reach Talenter again. Almost one full year.

Arrival back on Earth is February, around William's birthday. He would be turning 28.
