Ingredients To Victory

                       Each one of us is a soldier of God. We are sent to Earth to do tasks given by Him. We are entrusted to live life to the fullest and do good deeds while we are here on Earth. And as His soldier, He always gives us missions that we need to accomplish because He believes that we surely can have victory. But what are the traits that we must posses enable to overcome those challenges in life?

DETERMINATION. Like Daedalus and Icarus, who invented wings because they are determined to escape from King Minos' land, we must also have determination. It is a characteristic of a person that leads them to make choices and decisions based on their own preferences and interests, to monitor and regulate their own actions and to be goal-oriented and self-directing. It is a positive emotion that involves persevering towards a difficult goal in spite of obstacles. Determination occurs prior to goal attainment and serves to motivate behavior that will help achieve one's goal. So no matter how tough the problems you are facing be determined in doing things that will help you survive. Never get tired. Keep on trying. Be patient. Because victory is worth waiting for.

COURAGE. Orpheus has this kind of attitude. We know that he went to the underworld just to have Eurydice back to him. Courage is the choice and willingness to confront agony, pain, danger, uncertainty or intimidation. Physical courage is courage in the face of physical pain, hardship, death or threat of death, while moral courage is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal or discouragement. It is being brave to face every possibility that may occur in our lives. If one has this characteristic, he surely can overcome the challenges in life.

FAITH. Last but not the least, we must have faith. Faith is confidence or trust in a person or thing or a belief not based on proof. Have faith on things that cannot be seen by your naked eyes. Great example is having faith in God. We cannot see Him but we believe in Him. We believe that He can always hear our prayers, which is a good practice because we can get positive encouragement through praying. We should also have faith in ourselves. Believe that you can make this, achieve something, and can have victory! Because believing in yourself can help you have those first two characteristics mentioned above.
