The Head's dorm, in short, was beautiful.

Considering they were both Gryffindors, the dorm was done up in scarlet and gold. The common room was cozy with a fireplace, a few couches, comfy chairs and two desks. There were two staircases, one leading to Lily's room and the other to James', but they were shocked to find that neither of them had trouble climbing either set of stairs.

"You'd think that Minnie would have jinxed these like she did with the ones in Gryffindor tower." James smirked.

Lily raised a brow. "Should she have?"

"...'Course not." Yes.

She rolled her eyes. "Well, I'm going to head to bed. Goodnight, James, we'll talk about what's going on with Peter in the morning." She hugged him and kissed his cheek as he kissed hers, and he held on to her for a few minutes.

"Goodnight, Lily. See you in the morning."

She smiled and made her way to her room, gasping when she opened her door. Her room was, of course, done in Gryffindor colors, but she had been given a king sized bed, another desk, a small fireplace, and she had a closet and bathroom to herself.

She grinned. It was as if she had her own flat.

Morning came around, bearing a grumpy Lily and a way too perky James.

Lily slept well, of course. She just wished she could sleep longer. The head girl descended the stairs, straightening her robes a bit as she walked.

"Gooooooood morning, Lilypad!"

A grunt. "Morning."

"Wake up on the wrong side of the bed, did we?"

"No." She practically whined, walking over to him and resting her head on his chest, since she was too short to reach his shoulder. "I did not get enough sleep."

He just chuckled. "Okay, grumpy pants. Let's go get breakfast before Sirius and Remus devour all of the bacon."

"They better not. I'll hex them."

"Whoa, never heard you so passionate about food."

"I love bacon." She shrugged, happily walking alongside him as he kept an arm around her waist. "And I'm very glad today is a Saturday."

"Me too. No classes for a couple more days." He frowned. "We do have that prefect meeting tonight, though. We have to put them in pairs and figure out who's taking what shifts."

"Oh, that's right. We should get started on that right after breakfast so we can have the afternoon to do whatever."

"Do you think Sirius and Remus could come hang out for a bit? I want to get their input on what happened with Peter yesterday."

"Of course." She gave him a light smile. "I'm sure it's fine. Maybe he just had a rough day."

"Yeah. Maybe." They entered the great hall to find that almost everyone was already there, including their friends. There were two seats saved between Sirius and Alice for them, and they gladly sat down. Lily immediately started filling her plate, going for the bacon first.

"Hey guys." James said, grinning as he started to fill his plate. "How'd the first night at Hogwarts go without me?"

Peter immediately stood up and walked out, causing a few heads to turn. James turned to Remus and Sirius, a brow raised.
