Loving can hurt,
Loving can hurt sometimes,
But it's the only thing that I know,

He nervously put his hands on your waist. You gave him a small smile as he blushed. The short silky (f/c) fabric of the dress you were wearing made it easy to help guide your boyfriend through the slowdance. At first he was stiff, but slowly eased into the small rythum you built for him. The matching heels barely making you capable of putting your chin on his shoulder. Tonight was the dance before he left to his parents' for summer break.

When it gets hard,
You know it can get hard sometimes,
It is the only thing that makes us feel alive,
We keep this love in a photograph,

His arms snaked together, drawing you closer and making him stumble a few steps before regaining his posture. You were going to miss him. His cheesy jokes and movie marathons. The way he made you smile after a day of badness. But somehow he chased away the badness with a small kiss and a hug.

We make these memories for ourselves,
Where our eyes are never closing and hearts are never broken,
Time forever frozen still,

You remembered the way he would pick you up and carry you to the quad to look at the stars when you didn't want to leave bed or especially when you had the flue, that was when he sat in bed with you. Watching YouTube videos and helping you with missed homework. No matter how many times you told him you were highly contagous, he would climb by your side anyway; saying that being sick with you was a good thing. That it meant that he could stay by you all day. You set your face in the crook of his neck and closed your eyes.

So you can keep me,
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans,
Holding me closer till our eyes meet,
You won't ever be alone,
Wait for me to come home,

You two slowdanced in silence, enjoying each other's presence. The warmth radiating from his body going to yours. You were going to miss that too. Oh god, three months was too long for you two and both of you knew it. He didn't talk about it, and you didn't bring it up.

Loving can heal,
Loving can mend your soul,
And it's the only thing that I know (know),

You noticed him rubbing a a small piece of your dress between his thumb and index finger. His eyes were fixed on that and it made you nervous.

I swear it will get easier,
Remember that with every piece of ya,
And it's the only thing that we can take with us when we die,

He promised to keep in touch but since he'll be so far away it will be hard. Honestly you think he promised to himself more than to you. So selfless, you let a light smile grace upon yours lips as you swayed side to side with him. You remembered your mom's words about Warren.

"He's a keeper, such a gentlemen too! I'm expecting grandchildren soon." She exclaimed to you while in the kitchen, making you blush red before scolding "Mom!". Warren was having a "nice talk" with your dad in the next room. When really it was "take care of my little girl or I'll take out the rifle" talk.

You smiled at that memory, and of course your mother expected embarrassing you soon enough for another visit to you and your boyfriend that wouldn't even be there.

We keep this love in a photograph,
We make these memories for ourselves,
Where our eyes are never closing and hearts are never broken,
Time forever frozen still,

You wanted something to keep him there with you. But tying him down from family wasn't right. So just hoping that he thought about you as much as you thought about him was all you could do before calling for a few minutes and then going to bed because of his buggy phone that needed to be replaced. His tuxedo made him seem cuter and the small rose that peeked from his pocket matched your dress made you feel like he was reserved for you or something.

So you can keep me,
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans,
Holding me closer till our eyes meet,
You won't ever be alone,

He interrupted your train of thought by stepping back and looking down your mascara fixed lashes that made your eyes seem bolder. You looked up into his eyes in confusion.

And if you hurt me,
That's OK, baby, only words bleed,
Inside these pages you just hold me,
And I won't ever let you go,

He leaned down do your foreheads were touching and he looked into your wondering eyes. He retook his place on your waist as you slowly wrapped your arms around his neck. He started the small swaying that caught you two into another slowdance. His eyes looking into your glassy (e/c) ones. If you couldn't make two weeks without him how could you do more than two months?

Wait for me to come home,
Wait for me to come home,
Wait for me to come home,
Wait for me to come home,

You giggled as he twirled you around once and brought you back to his chest. His chuckle brought a bigger grin to your face.
This cheesy goofball was a part of your daily routine, a small medicine that brought the stress of a prep college school down off your shoulders.

Oh you can fit me,
Inside the necklace you got when you were 16,
Next to your heartbeat where I should be, Keep it deep within your soul,

The lights of the multicolored systems shone across the room, bouncing off of you two and making your eyes shine brighter. The decorations around the basketball court were perfectly set along the walls and doors.

And if you hurt me,
That's OK baby,
Only words bleed,
Inside these pages you just hold me,
I won't ever let you go,

You heard shuffling and voices outside of the small bubble surrounding you and Warren. The bubble that kept you two together until it popped for when he left to another country to see his parents.

When I'm away,
I will remember how you kissed me,
Under the lamppost back on 6th street,
Hearing you whisper through the phone,

The flash of a camera brought you out of the dreamy stare with Warren, turning to look in the direction of the flash you saw Max with a nice green dress that went above her knees and a jacket that covered her bare shoulders. She smiled, the small illuminated badge across her chest had a glare, making you realize it said yearbook. And that she was smiling with a camera in her hands.

Wait for me to come home.
