Chapter 4
Winter's POV
"Hey Winter!" A girl said, running up to me.
"Hi." I greeted, the moment she had her hands on her knees, catching her breath.
I greeted 'hi' to another stranger... I should get used to this.
"I'm another daughter of Apollo. You could call me Krissy." She got her hand out for me to shake and I shook it whole-heartedly.
"So what brings you here?" I asked her.
She finally regained her composure. "Annabeth decided that you should come train with us at Archery."
"Uh... Sure. Why not?" I replied with a smile, which turned into a frown in a matter of seconds. "I don't know how to use a bow and arrow." I admitted.
"It's okay." She grinned. "Will is a nice guy. He won't bite and I know that he's patient."
"Thanks." I gave her a small grin.

"You're Winter right?" A guy asked, coming up to me. "Winter Solace?"
I nodded but answered orally anyway. "Yes. You must be Will?" I asked him.
"Yeah." He said. "Will Solace."
My eyes widened. Is he my long lost brother?
He must be.
"This is weird but may I ask you something?" I asked. He nodded. "My mom said that I have a brother which I haven't seen in my life. Are you...?" I ran out of words.
He sighed. "Let's not make this a problem yet."
"Okay." I replied but despite what he said, I'm still going to make it a problem.
"You could find the bows, finger tabs, arm guards, arrow spacers and everything you need for archery right there at the cabinet section." Will said, pointing to his back.
"Uh... Thanks." I said, walking to where he pointed. I saw Krissy waving at me, placing on some finger tabs.
"You pick a weapon of your choice." She kindly said, her face pointing toward cubbyholes, each full with a weapon of each. I went near the cubbyholes and picked two daggers. I felt like home just by holding it. "Good. But for today, we'll just learn how to use a bow and arrow." She stood up. "Don't worry. You'll own those daggers starting now."
"Okay." I smiled, still looking at the daggers.
"I better get you ready." She decided, getting things needed from a nearby cubbyhole.
"Training will start in ten minutes so you guys better get prepared!" Will announced.
"We need to hurry." Krissy suggested. I nodded.
When she was done preparing me, Will called me, making me rush toward him instantly.
"Let's start shall we?" He asked, getting my bow that slung onto my shoulder and placed it in front of me in a standing position. He got my hand at the wooden part, getting an arrow from my back and placing the edge at the middle part of the string. He got my other hand and placed it at the string part.
"Shoot." He said without any humor. I aimed it at the target pulling the string. I held my breath as I let go.
There was nothing but silence. I felt like everything went on slow motion. Like the whole world was sucking in every single molecule.
