"I have to say, I didn't see any of this happening. Meeting these people, seeing what I've seen. I always knew I'd invent next generation things but I didn't know I'd make friends along the way. I always felt like I'd always be alone. I was alone in the beginning and most of my life, but now I have a great group of people to share my life with. And it's not like we have a lot in common. We're all so different yet that's what brings us so close together. Living under one roof is going to be a challenge though. But everyone seems to have the enthusiasm to try and make it work. And yet the best part about this group is that there is one-hundred percent no oppression. Yea we argue and tease each other but it's not out of hatred or a feeling of superiority. We all treat each other as equals no matter the color of their skin, sex, race or dialect. My life always seemed like a disaster waiting to happen but things turned out better than I actually imagined. I guess I shouldn't have stayed alone for so long."-Goblin.

During a crisp night in the Era 4E175, Jarl Balgruuf The Greater sits in his bed reading The Last Scabbard. It has been a long day for him. "Being a Jarl isn't an easy task." He continues reading when he hears a faint sound. "Must be the cold air up against the building." Yet the noise persists. he puts his book down and puts his hand to his ear. He can still hear it. He moves around his room putting his ear against the walls listening. "It's definitely coming from outside." The guard outside his room is drawn to all the noise coming from the Jarl's room. "My lord, is everything al rig...." The Jarl turned quickly to face the guard. "SHHHHHHH!" The guard stood in silence. "Do you hear that?" Balgruuf asked the guard. "Yes my lord. It is but the wind." Balgruuf shook his head. "No it's not the wind. I thought that at first. Gather up a small squad with torches and meet me at the doors." The guard shook his head. "Yes my lord." And he quietly made his way downstairs. Balgruuf swiftly dressed himself and made his way downstairs. He didn't want to wake Irileth. He walked toward the doors where the squad of guards were. "Now everyone, listen for the noise and try to find where it is coming from." They all nodded and a guard handed Balgruuf a torch. They opened the doors and were hit with a massive wave of cold. They were listening for the sound when a mysterious green beam descended from the sky. "WHAT IS THAT?!" A guard asked. "SHHHHHHHHH!" Everyone went quiet as they watched the huge beam create a cloud of dirt and debris where it landed. "That's where we're going boys." the Jarl said as he moved slowly down the stone steps and through the city. The city was quiet tonight, not many lights were on, except for the ones at Jorvaskr. They made their way past War Maidens and out the gates and toward Hunningbrew. They made their way to where the bridge crosses the White River. There was a glowing green light up ahead. It was hard to make out what it was but there was a moving shape making faint sounds. The light dimmed and the guards drew closer. There was a green baby crying on the ground. "Egggghhhhh! It's hideous." A guard said drawing his sword. The guard swung but his sword collided with the Axe of Whiterun's blade that was forced in front of it. "Are you mad!? It's a baby!" The Jarl was furious. "My lord, do you not know of the legend?" The Jarl would not budge. "As your Jarl I order you to stand down at once!" The guard sheathed his sword. "Legend or not, this is a child. It deserves life just like us." The Jarl scooped up the green baby. It was cold, had rough scales and bright, light green eyes. "It looks like an Argonian...." The Jarl felt beneath the child. "But it has no tail." The guards all closed in to look at the baby. "What will we do with it my lord?" The Jarl took his coat off and bundled the baby in it. "He, is coming home with us." The guards started to squirm. "But my lord, the legend..." The Jarl held up his hand. "Enough. I am bringing this child home and that's final!" The guards were unsettled but they calmed down and accepted it. They made their way back to Dragonsreach to find Irileth awake and cross. "Where have you been?" Irileth asked. The Jarl showed her the baby under his coat. "Busy." Irileth was still angry. "You couldn't have woken me?" The Jarl fumbled his answer around. "Because you would make a big fuss about it like how you do when I go to the tavern." Irileth became even more angry. "You did not just go there." Balgruuf was running out of patience. "Alright, I heard a noise outside, I assembled guards and found this child. Waking you was not necessary." The baby was starting to cry. "Do we have any jugs of milk?" The Jarl asked. One of the guards went into the dining area and returned with a jug and a baby bottle. The guard removed the top and poured the milk in and replaced the top and handed it to the Jarl. "So. What are you going to name him?" Irileth said palming her face. "......Alexicus." The Jarl said as he fed the baby.  Irileth looked at the Jarl in a confused way. "Why?" The Jarl looked at his throne. "Because he will be my first son." Irileth gave up and went back to her room. "My Lord, where will the baby sleep?" The Jarl pondered his answer for a few minutes. "He shall sleep in the room to the left of mine." The guard nodded. "We will require a crib. Tomorrow we shall request one from War Maidens. For now, set up a temporary bed in my quarters and I want a guard posted nearby to make sure the child does not roll off the bed." One guard volunteered and they they quickly set up the bed for the child to sleep. That night the Jarl slept better than he did in months.
