I woke up to another boring day expecting it to be just ordinary.

Wait! It's no ordinary!

It's the first day of my senior year at North High Academy.

You know what that means?

I'm gonna be a senior today! Ehrmehegerd!

So I got up and prepared for school. I've got to look extra good. And by good, I mean gorgeous.

High heels, check.

Accessories, check.

Designer clothes fit for a queen, check.

I did a last mirror check before I step out of my brand new pink Porsche.

As I sashay through the school premises, losers, I mean people start to make way for me, Kassy Ysabelle Mondragon, a.k.a. Kym, daughter of the owner of the ever successful Mondragon Incorporation, the Queen of North High.

As usual, spotlights on me.

I'm the ring-leader of a clique of two other pretty girls; Claire Torres, daughter of my dad's associate and Lucy Vazquez, not so well-known but a class commercial model.

All the other girls really want to be one of us, or even just befriend us. But why would we stoop down to their level? They aren't that bad, but the hell we care?

What matters is that we're pretty and they're not.

"Hey Sugarplum!", someone called me. I'm not surprised.

It's my ever annoying stalker, I mean admirer, Kyle. He's not that bad himself. It's just that I dont like him. Neither, any boys. Well. I've never liked any.

"What?!," I said as I rolled my eyes.

"Why so harsh, babe? Play it cool. I don't think you'd love to get wrinkles."

"Urgh! Shut the hell up, Kyle! Don't make me start the school year wrong."

I turned away and headed for my locker, my precious locker, beautiful as me. (Only the three of us have these personalized lockers. Of course, who else could afford? )

I'm glad they're there by that time.

"Hi gals!" I said as we kissed each others' cheeks.

"Boy, you look G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!" Claire said, praising me as she always does. And I love her for that.

"I so know right! When was the time I didn't look good?"

"Yeah right! And so am I, and Claire, and everyone." Lucy added.

"Shut up Lucy! Just the three of us, only the three of us."

"Hold it girls, we better get going."

So I shrugged off, leaving them, when someone bumped me.

I was about to shout at that walking disaster, when his eyes met mine.

All of my anger vanished.

I never felt this way before.

My heart skipped a beat racing with the butterflies in my stomach.

What is this?!
