The Beauty held the Beast as the life drained from his body. She begged and pleaded for him to come back to her, but it was no use. The Beauty buried her face into his fur and whispered a soft, "Please, I love you." As the words flowed from her mouth lights, almost like fireworks, fell from the sky. As the lights fell the Beast's body began to stir. Overwhelmed with joy the Beauty hugged the Beast with all her might. The Beast hesitated realizing that the spell had not been broken; he was still in the form of a hideous beast. The Beast stood and walked slowly away from the Beauty into the shadows of the castle.
For the next few weeks the Beast made the Beauty feel worthless and of unimportance. He blamed her for the spell not being broken, and wished the Beauty would disappear. He hardly ever spoke to her, and when he did it was just to tell her she meant nothing to him. One day the Beast pushed the Beauty too far. She knew what she had to do, so with tears in her eyes the Beauty left the castle without looking back.
Months passed without a word from the Beast. The Beauty tried her best to go on with her life, but she knew nothing could change the way she felt about the Beast. The Beauty decided to go back to the castle and ask the Beast to take her back. At the gates of the castle the Beauty felt a feeling of uneasiness, but ignored the feeling and walked through the threshold. As the Beauty opened the door the Beast was there. Mistaken that he had been waiting for her the Beauty threw her arms around the Beast and began to sob. The Beast outraged attacked the Beauty leaving her body mutilated and crumbled on the floor. He told her to leave the castle and to never return. The Beauty, completely broken-hearted, crawled out of the castle. The Beast, realizing what he had just done, fell to his knees cursing himself for the pain he caused the Beauty.
Years passed and the Beauty did the best she could with moving on with her life. She had met an old friend unexpectedly one fall morning, and decided to let her heart love again. The two married and had three wonderful children. Though all this happiness was around her she often thought of the Beast and wondered what life would have been like with him.
Upon hearing the news of the Beauty's marriage the Beast plunged a dagger into his heart. As the life slowly left his body he realized his life was nothing without her and that he had made a terrible mistake all those years ago. The Beast died alone with no one around him, with no one to love; for who could ever love a beast.
