Last chapter's recap: I stared off into the darkness until my eyes got heavy and all the sounds blurred together. The last thing I remember was Kurloz telling me to go to bed before nuzzling his face into my neck again.

I woke up at about 10 the next morning. I slowly sat up and checked to see if the blood bag was almost done.

"Don't get excited, that's still the first one. You've got two more to go." Kurloz stated staring down at his phone.

"What!?" I groaned. I was so ready to go home.

"Ha, nah, I'm just fucking with you. That's the last one when it's done they'll check your vitals and you'll be set free like a beautiful motherfucking butterfly." He said flatly.

I made a face and chucked my pillow at him before leaning back against the bed.

"Ow." Kurloz said sarcastically or maybe he was serious it was hard to tell when he was being all emo.

"What is up my people?" Mikado asked as she entered the room.

"Yo, Mika." I stated in a singsong tune.

"I come bearing gifts. Kurloz, this is your homework packet thing, and, A, for you I have a change of clothes and a worksheet packet thing for the next three weeks." Mikado chirped.

"Three weeks?!" I ask/yelled.

"Yeah, apparently that's what the doctors note said; plus it's not like you're missing anything you only have like three classes." Mikado stated matter of factly.

"And these pages are stupid easy." Kurloz added flipping through the pages.

"Oh yeah, since we're talking about school you're going tomorrow." Kurloz looked up abruptly.

"Why?" He hissed.

"Because I told the principle you'd be there. You can come check on me after you're done with school." I said softly.

"As much as I'd love to stay and watch this I gotta go take care of this tutoring session. I'll see you guys later." Mika stated flash stepping out of the room.

"A, you're not supposed to do things on your own, what if you really need something and you can't get it, what if your stitches pop open again? I won't even be able to focus in school worrying about you." Kurloz pouted.

"Loz, I'm seventeen not seven. I'm a big girl and I can take care of myself."

"A, you can't even put on a sock without getting hurt."

"That was one time and you swore to never speak of it again."

"A."

"You're going to school and that's final. If it makes you feel better I'll keep you updated during each of your breaks."

"Make it every thirty minutes and you gotta deal." He stated holding out his hand.

"Fine, every thirty minutes." We shook hands and a deal was made.

"Now imma gonna take a shower." I smiled.

"Worst Mario impression ever." He sighed.

I could literally mentally picture Mika popping up out of nowhere and whispering (in the creepiest way possible) relationship goals. I face palmed and grabbed the bag with my clothes in it and headed for the bathroom. I had to be careful with my stitches so I couldn't be in the shower too long, I couldn't put soap on the area that was stitched up, and I couldn't have the water as hot as I wanted. I set the water to a warmer than freezing temp and stepped in for a quick rinse. I decided to stand with my back toward the water so the front of my body wouldn't be directly in the stream and I could stretch my time out a little more.

I was rinsing the shampoo out of my hair when I was suddenly blinded by the soapy substance.

"Shit." I squealed way louder than I meant to.

"A?" Kurloz asked.

"Don't worry I'm fine, just kinda blind." I yelled back.

"You can't see for shit, can you?" He asked almost amused, but slightly annoyed.

"Nope." I admitted.

"Fine, I guess I gotta help you." He sighed.

"Noooo, don't come in I'm naked."

"You mean you can't even find the towel?"

"No."

"Well your eyes won't stop burning until you get the shampoo and water off your face so either you let your corneas melt or you let me help you. It's not like Imma be pervin on ya."

"Ugh fiiiiiine just don't look at me or I'll fucking kill you."

The door opened slowly and as soon as it opened I felt a towel get wrapped around my body.

"See, it only took me like five seconds I didn't even look at you." Kurloz stated wiping my face off with another towel. When he finished I opened my eyes slowly.

"Holy fuck, you look like me when I blaze too long." Kurloz snickered. I smacked the back of his head and held the towel closer to my body.

"Whatever, get out so I can get dressed." I growled.

"How bout I just turn around? Something tells me you're gonna need my help again."

"Guh, fine, but if you peek I swear I'll end you."

"I swear on my life."

I didn't even bother drying off completely; I quickly put on my under garments and a pair of shorts. As I was slipping my shirt on I got stuck and tangled in it because my skin was still damp.

"Kurloz," I groaned. "I'm stuck in my shirt." He chuckled before pulling my arms through and pulling the fabric down the rest of my body.

"Awe, sweet, I love this shirt." Kurloz stated ruffling my hair. I looked in the mirror. It was the one he got me for my birthday three years ago.

"And up ya go, motherfucker." Kurloz stated picking me up.

"I can walk dipshit."

"No, but you can limp." He teased.

"Kurloz."'I whined.

"Just let me take care of you, please." He sat on the edge of the bed with me in his lap. "Homies help homies." He smirked hugging me gently.

"Homies help homies." I replied half heartedly.
