Fearfully and Wonderfully

You set me aside before I was knit in my mother’s womb;

You loved me before I knew You.

From my fingerprints to the hair on my head, you knew me.

You know me.

You created me.

When I am broken, when I am weak, when I am lost—

Often all of which I am—

You reach down and lift me up.

You brush the hair out of my eyes and

Speak to me with tenderness and love.

Comfort You give like no other.

You comfort me.

Your whisper to me is a gentle breeze

That lifts me up from despair.

You are God.
