Brad saw his girlfriend, Nancy in the halls and gave her a hug.
"How're you doing, honey?" She asked him looking at the marks on his face.
"I'm fine." This was the learned response from months of hiding. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched Patrick walking to the lockers.
"I'll be right back." Brad said to Nancy.
