I met a boy in a world I'd never expect
Met a boy who was dark and hid his life
But very soon he became someone I wanted to protect
Even when his words cut me like a knife
I'm just a girl and he's a dangerous shark
I guess it's true when they say opposites attract
I look towards the light while he basks in the dark
And everytime he opens up, he has to retract
He makes me feel things so deep inside
We've never even met, not even seen his face
He told me to stay away and believe me, I tried
But the moment we met, I lost my heart in space
Our kisses are magic and send me above
But after they sting for he refuses to stay
He's so cruel but I've fallen in love
I never expected this when we met that day
At the festival he gave me a gift
It was so special, so kind
He put it on my neck and my hope he did lift
I knew these feelings I couldn't rewind
But later that day I stayed the night
I awoke with a fear that something was wrong
I walked into his room and his state gave me a fright
Maybe I could get him to open up after so long
And finally he told me what I needed to know
The story was rough but he opened his heart
He had pain deep down, hidden low
And I knew we could never part
I was a hopeless romantic until he left his mark
