First Blood

At 7:55 am Hawaii Time, on December 7,1941 Japanese planes attacked the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor.

More than 2,500 lives were lost. Over 1,000 were injured. 18 Navy ships, along with nearly 300 aircraft were damaged or destroyed.

Without warning or provocation.... First Blood was drawn.

Sure, we were itching to get in the fight. We just had not gotten a legitimate invitation to this world event. Yes, England had begged for our assistance and we had given aid. But now since we had been openly attacked... we were finally invited to the dance.

And we danced. We danced a dance that had never been danced before. We danced in Africa. We danced all over Europe. We danced Asia until there shoes fell off of their feet.

All because of the invitation we were given.

Never... Ever never draw first blood if you are not willing to be bled totally dry.....
