Once upon a time, there was a group of teens who were lied to.

They thought the were normal.

They were wrong,
dead wrong.

They joined a group of nine.

They joined the fight of their lives.

There were secrets kept and lies told.

There was pain, beauty and pain within the beauty

The team is now desperately holding onto survival.

This is our story.

January 1st, 2001, Midnight

A hooded woman ran across the road in the dead of night with tears on her cheeks and two bundles in her arms.

She stopped, breathing in the cold winter air, struggling to catch her breath.

She heard the yells of men and the distant blaze coming toward her.

She turned and continued running.

Finally, she found a building and knocked on the door three times quickly.

The door opened immediately and she was pulled into the dark entrance.

"I knew you couldn't hide in those tunnels forever." Miss Pauling said as she closed the door, locked it and turned turned the lights on.

"I know but where else was I supposed to go! I had two newborns!" The woman said, her voice thick with her British accent as she shook her hood off, allowing her long, dirty blonde locks to fall free.

"You could've left, I would've at least tried to have gotten you a place to hide back in the UK. Particularly because there were unborn children involved." Miss Pauling said. "Well, now I guess they're not 'unborn' anymore."

"Please... I still need your help. I didn't think it would be this bad." The woman said pleadingly.

"Katrina, you do realize that this was avoidable. You could've gotten with your own Medic. They aren't too different from each other!" Miss Pauling said and she's lucky Katrina had two newborns in her arms because Miss Pauling would've been slapped.

"THEY'RE NOT THE SAME!" Katrina yelled and lowered her voice. ".... The BLU Medic's personality is different from RED's and my former team's Medic is shorter... And the RED's skills are better than my Medic's."

"Well he must have been that much better because now you're gonna die because you fell for him. You could never have gotten away with this forever. You do know that; right?" Miss Pauling said with crossed arms and sighed.

"I do. Just, please. Do one last thing for me!" Katrina begged. "SAVE THEM!"

"Yes, of course. But in order to that it would have to be on one condition. I'd let them live normal lives but I know The Administrator wouldn't allow that. You see, she's not the only one related to a merc. Each one, on both teams, have either cousins, nieces, nephews or children, siblings even, all around the same age. In order for me to guarantee the survival of your children, I'd have to send them off to boarding school until they are all in their late fourteens, early fifteens. Then they all will be brought here, assigned apprenticeships to a merc and forced to join this war. And I can't guarantee that the two will grow up together." Miss Pauling explained.
